Week 10.

WEEK 10 You've found a few new friends this past week, and along with them, a new town to explore. Granted, there doesn't seem to be much, particularly when compared to the cities you started out in; at the same time, the air is fresh with the scent of flowers and honey wafting on the breeze. Along with the usual Pokémon that can be found in populated areas, it seems that several Combees have made their home here - they can be found drifting along idly, seeming no more capable of true emotion than anyone or anything else, but perhaps they're trying their best. It's a little difficult to say; they are still bees, after all. That said, the world continues to change around you, bit by bit; you still have a long way to go before you've saved everyone, but for the time being you should probably recharge, and take some time to sort through what should happen next. Talking to the locals may net you the information that there's something odd about the meadow north of town; perhaps a few of you should go to check it out... [If he's seen the rest of the farm animal entourage the pun is probably more obvious than if not, but that is absolutely a shitty pun.]

[Honestly, shitty puns- though shitty- are creative. At least he didn't name her cooked rice.]

That's a nice name. It's good to meet you, Henrietta.

[He'd pet her but he's not...entirely sure he should? He's never interacted with a bird before...so he'll just sort of extend an index finger in greeting for her to examine.]

[Henrietta lets out a happy chirp in response, and as soon as Atsuhi reaches out to her with with finger, she pecks at it.]

[Bucky's chiding, of course, works about as well as expected, which is to say not at all. She squawks out a starrr noise, but fluffs herself out after a moment.

Maybe that's supposed to be an apology...?]

[Atsushi pulls his finger back and gives his hand a little shake, but he looks more amused than offended. That's honestly about what he was expecting out of her.]

Is she your starter, then? I don't think I've seen any Pokemon like her yet.

Nah, she's not the one I started out with. That's Flora; she's a goat covered in leaves.

Henrieteta here is a...Starly? They're actually pretty common.

[You know that shouldn't surprise him at this point, and yet...]

Yeah, sure.

[He raises his voice a little, because of course Flora's not inside of a Pokeball.]

Flora, c'mere, girl!

[The Skiddo comes scampering from Bucky's tent, and that sure is a goat with leaves all over her front and back. She looks incredibly excited to be called, like she's expecting this to be a sign that Bucky is about to take her on an adventure.

Or give her treats.]

Wow. You weren't exaggerating with that description.

[Does she like pets? Because god damn she's getting pets if so.]

[He's smiling as he says it, and by the way she's acting, she absolutely loves pets.]

[He wanted to pet her because she's cute and deserves pets, but he also wanted to feel her leaves and see if they were...actually leaves.

And what do you know, they actually are. Pokemon will never cease to amaze him.]

So she's probably...a grass type Pokemon, right? I think that's right.

Yeah, I think that's right.

Honestly, the whole "type" thing doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but at least it's descriptive of her.

[Apparently Flora knows she's a grass type, because she nods at him, looking pleased.]

It is a little confusing, yeah...I still don't feel like I understand it at all. But at least for some Pokemon it's pretty easy to figure out.

Not that I've ever seen a plant-goat before, of course.

Can't say I have, either.

[And it finally occurs to him that he hasn't.... actually introduced himself.]

Name's Bucky, by the way. [he motions to the Skiddo] she's Flora.

[Yeah.

He named a goat covered in leaves "Flora."]

[It's okay Bucky, having named his Pokemon cooked rice we're both in the camp of unoriginality here.]

Ah- it's good to meet you both, Bucky-san, Flora.

My name's Atsushi, and my starter is Chazuke.

[He shrugs one shoulder where his Wimpod sits, his antennae waving in greeting.]

Nice to meetcha.

[Henrietta squawks, which is... probably a hello, too? Flora sits at Bucky's side, nodding. She's pretty shy, but she's staying put, so that's probably a good enough greeting.]

Sorry it wasn't in better circumstances. It's been a mess for about two months now; the people and the Pokemon are both far better off than they were, if you can believe it.

No, it's okay...it's not you guys' fault things are the way they are. While I've been in Floaroma I've noticed things slowly getting better...the people started talking more, and even Chazuke here was getting more active, if a bit more...skittish.

[Too bad he's quick to flee, huh Atsushi.]

I guess it'd be more obvious when you've been in one place most of the time.

That's actually good to hear.

It was a relief to see, honestly. I didn't think things would ever start changing, so it was surprising when they suddenly did.

Whatever you guys have been doing so far has made some difference, that's for sure.

To be honest, I'm not sure how it's happened.

Well, some of it can be explained by the guardians being healed, but not all of it.

[gekkaju]

Do you think maybe whatever team Galactic did to them is...starting to wear off, somehow? I don't know if that's really possible, but...it seems like taking away someone's spirit would take a lot of energy to pull off forever.

It's possible.

[He shrugs a little.]

The guardians have to be responsible for part of it, but I can't imagine that accounts for everything.

[gekkaju]

And there's another guardian left for us to find too, isn't there?

[That's...going to be something.]

[He nods.]

Yeah, that's right. Plus the two Uxie asked us to look for. I don't think they're with the guardians, but they're definitely important.

[Atsushi nods, his expression turning thoughtful.]

Is there any idea of where to head next to find them?
