Week 11.
WEEK 11 The meeting with Mars could have gone infinitely worse. It's difficult to say that it went well, admittedly, but at least it didn't go as poorly as it could have; either way, her departure leaves you free to look around the Valley Windworks, and it shouldn't take you long at all to find something interesting on the floor. It's bright yellow and glowing, set into the ground like any other normal part of the floor otherwise; stepping on it will cause the world to spin briefly in your field of vision, and when it straightens itself out again, you find yourself standing in the corner of the lobby of a large building you've never seen before. Welcome to the Jubilife TV station. The place seems staffed with Galactic grunts, but they leave you alone outside of just watching you in that dead-eyed, vaguely unnerving way they have of watching everything; they'll let you leave without a fuss at any rate, and it's probably for the best that you get yourself situated for the time being. After all, you've got an entire new city to get accustomed to. The people here seem to be trying to get themselves situated as well, though obviously that's for entirely different reasons. The world continues to change, around them and you both, and overall things do seem to be going in a direction that might be considered favorable. Noticeably, the grunts in the TV station don't seem to be changing at all, regardless of what happens to the other locals; that might be cause for some concern... POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week eleven of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!] |

Ah, am I? I could do to not leave myself open like that; you have my thanks.
[Let's try that again, at the very least. Though she'll talk while she tries to adjust herself.]
I'd rather not let myself be open, if I should ever truly have to fight. It's simply a little disorienting without my partner...

[It's. Probably also why she's not exactly great on foot...]

What.

[Like, this is pretty commonplace where she comes from??? Don't you ride your dragons???]

[It isn't stated in a condescending manner, at least, but there is definitely some understanding there.]
You're correct in that they're incredibly ravenous and vicious creatures, but they're incredibly reliable partners when trained to be so. It certainly took several hundred years of doing, I wager, but when so little lives in the country that isn't an aggressive sort...well, one has to keep up with Hoshido's pegasi somehow, really.
[...]
...I suppose it is so easy to forget that such creatures are usually bloodthirsty when one is simply used to them tearing their enemies apart in such lovely ways.

[Well that was...an image, alright. He tried to picture Gladio on a wyvern, and very swiftly concluded the Shield would be liable to fall off. Prompto would probably do better, mostly because he seemed light enough that it might not even notice him.]
Chocobos aren't well suited for direct combat; they pack quite a devastating kick when they must, but I can't picture one lasting through an extended battle. The army of Lucis has been heavily infantry-based for as long as I'm aware of.
[Beat.]
I'm...not actually familiar with pegasi at all.

...I'm afraid I'm quite unfamiliar with...Chocobos, but I'm certain they're similar to chickens, yes...?
[Is. Is he implying they ride on those things, what the fuck.]
Well, pegasi are rather basic creatures...they're simply a horse with wings, truth be told, though they're supposedly more amendable creatures than wyverns. I trust you have horses, at the very least?

[oh lord here we go]
Chocobos are large flightless birds; bipedal, and able to cross most kinds of terrain.

[WHAT THE FUCK]
That's...I suppose it makes sense that you all don't have such a thing, but forgive me for saying that it's utterly surreal?
