Week 11.
WEEK 11 The meeting with Mars could have gone infinitely worse. It's difficult to say that it went well, admittedly, but at least it didn't go as poorly as it could have; either way, her departure leaves you free to look around the Valley Windworks, and it shouldn't take you long at all to find something interesting on the floor. It's bright yellow and glowing, set into the ground like any other normal part of the floor otherwise; stepping on it will cause the world to spin briefly in your field of vision, and when it straightens itself out again, you find yourself standing in the corner of the lobby of a large building you've never seen before. Welcome to the Jubilife TV station. The place seems staffed with Galactic grunts, but they leave you alone outside of just watching you in that dead-eyed, vaguely unnerving way they have of watching everything; they'll let you leave without a fuss at any rate, and it's probably for the best that you get yourself situated for the time being. After all, you've got an entire new city to get accustomed to. The people here seem to be trying to get themselves situated as well, though obviously that's for entirely different reasons. The world continues to change, around them and you both, and overall things do seem to be going in a direction that might be considered favorable. Noticeably, the grunts in the TV station don't seem to be changing at all, regardless of what happens to the other locals; that might be cause for some concern... POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week eleven of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!] |

Well, Klink was Ari's first Pokemon, right? It seems a little presumptuous to use what is thus far her weakest one here, but in terms of types they probably have the biggest advantage. And as such, picking up a ball from her waist she sends out!
Her Alolan Geodude. Urbin. ]
Of course we shall return to the Center after this!

[... And then there's a pause as Ari looks between the two Pokémon.]
Um... do you wanna make the first move, or should I?
no subject
Urbin, can tyou use that technique to speed yourself up?
[ Oh.
Well, yeah! Preening, and shaking off a layer of rocks, Urbin used Rock Polish. ]
no subject
[Here comes the Klink as the two gears come apart, flying to grip around one of Urbin's arms between the two gears...and sure enough they start grinding here against where they've gripped Geodude here...]
no subject
That said... Zelda has noticed that Urbin attracts Miphanus to him sometimes. He might be at least someone Magnetic. And that being the case, then Heyuu will be stuck to him a little more, right? And so Zelda calls out: ] Rollout!
[ How does it-- oh wait, it can be more flashy? And so trying to take the Klink with it, it's going to curl up into the best ball it can make to meet into the ground and roll with it. ]
no subject
Heyuu, let go of them!
[It takes some considerable effort but the Klink manages to pull itself loose here, hovering a bit shaky here for a moment before it rights itself. Thankfully they are partially resistant to Rock type moves, so they're still good to go.]
Okay, let's try using Mirror Shot this time.
[Klink turns a bit at an angle here, reflecting it's gears brightly in the Geodude's eyes. Brightly enough that this might hurt to look at as if it's using the reflection off the metal here to hurt them.]
no subject
Zelda bites her lip. Urbin probably won't win.
But she does want to give him some dignity to see how far he can go. ]
no subject
Try to get behind Urbin to use Mirror Shot this time.
[Now the Klink is attempting to float upward out of the way of the Rollout to get behind Zelda's Geodude, once again using that rather metallic shine of it's body to damage the Geodude from an angle where the sunglasses might not be as helpful. Will Urbin be able to avoid it?]
no subject
Urbin's still one of the least experienced of the brood, having been babied a little because they were the egg Pokemon. And so the mirror shot hits it in the back and while the rollout seems to continue a bit it ends with them face down on the ground, knocked out. Zelda frowns and uses her ball to recall Urbin. ]
There there, let's rest up.

Good job, partner.
[Ari is just going to... pat the face of the gears here when it comes closer to receive praise. Good metal friend.
He then turns his attention to Zelda.]
You and Urbin did well, too.

[In response to that, the Klink floats back away to be behind Ari so that it can keep watching the battle. Now, he sends out a new Pokemon: it's his baby Espurr, Nya. Who simply just... stares with it's thousand yard stare when it walks out onto the field.]
no subject
[ Well against that one!!
... It's Saber time! Hi Saber! The Lickitung appears in a flash with a little fanfare? Namely, it wiggles it's tongue out and swings its arms a little bit. She's raring to go!! ]
no subject
[Here comes the baby Espurr, swiping it's little paws at the Lickitung here in an attempt to strike it with it's claws!]
no subject
Lick Nya, Saber!
[ . . . Incoming Lick. ]
no subject
Uh... Nya, use... oh, Disarming Voice!
[In which, the Pokemon opens it's mouth and... makes a sound akin to basically screaming at the Lickitung here. Which, hey, given that Lick it just suffered, that's probably fair. Regardless, this is probably going to hurt your ears.]
no subject
Saber, stop them from doing that!!
[ . . . the Lickitung Stares. her tongue hanging out. To try to use Disable on the Espurr ]
no subject
It's not working anymore? [Guess we'll have to try something else.] Nya, use Psybeam!
[The Espurr concentrates, before firing a beam of pure psychic energy in the direction of Lickitung!]
no subject
Break distance to slam them!
[ Well then!! Time for the big pink dinosaur to try to bodily tackle this small cat ]
no subject
Once Lickitung gets up... yeah, the Espurr is done. It doesn't look like it wants to battle anymore.]
no subject
Zelda can't help but be smirking a little as she watches the Lickitung rocking a little bit here. Wobble, wobble, kidna grinding the Nya in the ground by accident as she's trying to get her footing again. And once she does she ... raises her arms in victory! Hah!! Hah!!!
And Zelda... ]
I... suppose that is our win?
no subject
[Ari then turns his attention to his Pokemon as he recalls it back.]
You did your best too, Nya. Get some rest.
no subject
So one win for each of us so far! They both did well.
no subject
[He's very proud of both Heyuu and Nya.]
Do you want to keep going?
