Week 11.

WEEK 11 The meeting with Mars could have gone infinitely worse. It's difficult to say that it went well, admittedly, but at least it didn't go as poorly as it could have; either way, her departure leaves you free to look around the Valley Windworks, and it shouldn't take you long at all to find something interesting on the floor. It's bright yellow and glowing, set into the ground like any other normal part of the floor otherwise; stepping on it will cause the world to spin briefly in your field of vision, and when it straightens itself out again, you find yourself standing in the corner of the lobby of a large building you've never seen before. Welcome to the Jubilife TV station. The place seems staffed with Galactic grunts, but they leave you alone outside of just watching you in that dead-eyed, vaguely unnerving way they have of watching everything; they'll let you leave without a fuss at any rate, and it's probably for the best that you get yourself situated for the time being. After all, you've got an entire new city to get accustomed to. The people here seem to be trying to get themselves situated as well, though obviously that's for entirely different reasons. The world continues to change, around them and you both, and overall things do seem to be going in a direction that might be considered favorable. Noticeably, the grunts in the TV station don't seem to be changing at all, regardless of what happens to the other locals; that might be cause for some concern... I...I was just looking around and now I don't know where I am.

[He replies, curling in on himself a little as he keeps his eyes on the grass in front of Flora's hooves, like a bird might pop out and try to carry him off if he isn't careful.]

[Flora's friend is incredibly protective of her. She might still be trying to figure things out, but she knows that Bucky would want her to protect her friends. So protect she will.]

You're in the center of the city! You're right next to the fountain, it's very pretty.

[gekkaju]

A fountain?

[Chazuke looks up, realizing that he'd managed to wander quite far from the Pokemon Center where Atsushi had been before.]

I need to get back to the orange building, I think...

[semistableman]

That's not too far from here.

[She can't point to effectively, but she manages to gesture in the direction with one hoofed foot.]

[gekkaju]

[It'd be easy for any other Pokemon to just say thanks and hurry on that way, but Chazuke...

He stays rooted to the spot, still shivering a little.]

I'm scared one of those birds is going to come while I'm trying to get there.

[semistableman]

Hmm...

[She looks at him curiously.]

Maybe I could walk you to the orange building?

[gekkaju]

W...would that be okay? I didn't want to stop you from what you were doing...

[semistableman]

It's fine!

[She doesn't look or sound the least bit bothered.]

I just like the grass.

[gekkaju]

I like the grass too. It's nice and tall...good to hide in.

[That's probably not why Flora likes it, but.]

I'll follow you, then!

[semistableman]

I like the grass because it's tasty!

[Definitely not.]

Come on, let's go!

[She'll move slowly, so he's not in danger of being swooped. She doesn't think he would be anyway? But you know. Better safe than sorry!]

[gekkaju]

[Chazuke scuttles along underneath her, keeping the Skiddo's shadow above him at all times to minimize the danger of being spotted by birds or anything else that might mistake him for a snack.]

Where's your trainer?

[semistableman]

I don't know!

[That's said rather cheerfully, like it doesn't bother her.]

He's probably jogging. He trains himself more than lots of people train their partners!

[gekkaju]

Oohh...he didn't want you to train with him?

[semistableman]

He lets me run with him, I just didn't want to.

Sometimes, when he is training himself, I'll climb on his back!

[gekkaju]

[The thought of a goat on a human's back is kinda funny, honestly.]

Mine lets me ride on his head sometimes. Maybe you could try that too?

[semistableman]

[Oh, that's a good idea.]

I'll have to try that!

[She can climb him like a mountain.]

[gekkaju]

It'll be fun! Good training, too.

[Bucky probably won't mind, right...]

I just wish this town had more flowers. It's not as pretty as the other one.

[semistableman]

I miss that place, too! I don't like the ground here, it's too hard. Grass is much softer.

[She paws at the grass for emphasis. Much better!]

[gekkaju]

[Soft ground is superior lbr]

Do you think we can go back?

[semistableman]

[Flora nods happily.]

I'm sure we'll be back!

[gekkaju]

I hope so! You guys have been traveling a lot, right? I'm excited to see all the other new places we go.

I just hope they aren't too scary.

[semistableman]

They haven't been scary so far.

[gekkaju]

None of them have been? Not even one?

[semistableman]

I don't think so at all!

[Then again, she's too curious to really be fearful.]

[gekkaju]

[Flora you're too pure for this world...]

Hmm...so which one has been your favorite, then?

[Chazuke's will always be Floaroma because he's predictable and enjoys soft things.]
