Week 13.
WEEK 13 The trip to Celestic Town is an unconventional one, though it's infinitely faster than walking and doesn't leave everyone feeling woozy in the same way that teleportation does. The town itself is a small one, though it's scenic, and there's a sort of beauty to it that's very rustic in nature; it's surrounded on both sides by mountainous routes that you're welcome to go on to both the west and the east, though it wouldn't be recommended that you venture too far out, seeing as they can be on the dangerous side for those who are unfamiliar with them. It seems Cynthia was right about one thing - there was certainly an incident at Lake Verity that went off almost as soon as you left, another of those deep pulses echoing through the surrounding area; it seems that whatever Mesprit did can be felt by the region as a whole, given that Celestic Town and the surrounding areas seem to have been affected as well despite being so far east of the lake. Cynthia herself can be found throughout the town for the duration, should anyone want to speak to her. Sometimes when left to her own devices, she can be seen in the company of a little girl who looks very similar to herself; sometimes she's with a pair of people much older. Either way, the family resemblance is strong. Lucas is here as well; he's still willing to speak to anyone that wants to, though he seems a bit subdued. Either way, it's been a long, harrowing trip so far; hopefully spending some time here will help to rejuvenate you. [He gestures vaguely toward his forehead, you know, the red things on their faces and tails.]
I kinda wonder why those were important. Power source, maybe?
no subject
Maybe?
[He turns back around, motioning Jake to follow him as he gestures to the drawings on the outside of the cave.]
It's kind of hard to tell since they're pretty simple drawings, but don't these guys look like they've got gems on them, too?

...I can see where it looks like they do, yeah. It'd be easier if this was in full color, too, to see if it's the same sort of thing, but even if it's not, it's something.

I guess asking the locals about it is worth a shot.
[He'll have to do that, even if the locals end up knowing nothing.]

They look like they might actually be able to answer questions, now.

It kind of weirded me out a bit at first, the sudden change like that. And most of my Pokémon are...kind of freaking the fuck out with the whole feelings thing. But it's probably be better for everyone in the end.

But it's for the best they're reacting strongly, if they weren't that'd be a whole different heap of problems.
[He sighs.]
I'm surprised the people aren't acting the same way, to be honest.

And Pokemon not used to having strong emotions suddenly having them might not be able to hide it as easily as a person could.
They're gonna need all the help they can get.

[He can't not, after all, without it coming across as somewhat self-loathing.]
Especially with the group, I'm hoping it's easier on them to have the support of a bunch of people and a lot of Pokemon.
