Week 13.
WEEK 13 The trip to Celestic Town is an unconventional one, though it's infinitely faster than walking and doesn't leave everyone feeling woozy in the same way that teleportation does. The town itself is a small one, though it's scenic, and there's a sort of beauty to it that's very rustic in nature; it's surrounded on both sides by mountainous routes that you're welcome to go on to both the west and the east, though it wouldn't be recommended that you venture too far out, seeing as they can be on the dangerous side for those who are unfamiliar with them. It seems Cynthia was right about one thing - there was certainly an incident at Lake Verity that went off almost as soon as you left, another of those deep pulses echoing through the surrounding area; it seems that whatever Mesprit did can be felt by the region as a whole, given that Celestic Town and the surrounding areas seem to have been affected as well despite being so far east of the lake. Cynthia herself can be found throughout the town for the duration, should anyone want to speak to her. Sometimes when left to her own devices, she can be seen in the company of a little girl who looks very similar to herself; sometimes she's with a pair of people much older. Either way, the family resemblance is strong. Lucas is here as well; he's still willing to speak to anyone that wants to, though he seems a bit subdued. Either way, it's been a long, harrowing trip so far; hopefully spending some time here will help to rejuvenate you. POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES SURROUNDING ROUTES: MOUNTAINS/ELEVATED AREAS SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week thirteen of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend.] |

WEDNESDAY

In the afternoon, you'll find that Yuri's done just that. He's set out a bunch of berries and is sitting a little further away with all three of his Pokémon watching curiously. The grass rustles and out pops a Gible, she waddles over to the berries, completely ignoring Yuri and his Pokémon.]
What do you guys think?
[Roc looks like she's thinking about picking a fight and Dein Nomos seems indifferent, but Rukeno nods after studying the Gible for a bit.]
Good enough!
[Yuri approaches, crouching down near the Gible and holding out a hand for her to sniff.]
Hey, buddy. My name's Yuri. You want to come with us?
[The Gible finishes off the last of the berries (there were a lot of them?? damn) and turns to look at Yuri's hand. For a moment, it seems like nothing is going to happen. Then she takes a big ol' bite.]
Ow! Hey, come on—! What kind of greeting is that!?
[In the evening, Yuri can be found in the Pokémon Center. His hand's bandaged, but it doesn't look like Gible did all that much damage. The Pokémon's with him too, so it seems as though he's made a new friend. She's chowing down on some more berries while Yuri sits nearby on the floor, as usual.]
You really do eat a lot, huh? Maybe I'll call you "Bitey".
[yuri, no]
afternoon
Oh, you, let go of him this instant! [DEAR GOD, WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING, EVEN ARION IS COMING UP AFTER HEARING HIS TRAINER GO OFF A BIT] Yuri! Are you going to be alright? Do you need any help prying that one off of you?
no subject
Yeah, I'm - oww - fine.
[He wiggles his fingers a bit as if to make sure they're not broken. The Gible didn't bite down hard enough to draw blood or anything, but there are definitely some teeth indents across his fingers near his knuckles.]
Well, I guess I can say that's the first time I've been bitten by a Pokémon.
[...and as usual, he's still relaxed...]

Unfortunately, his particular set of instincts means that he's now cackling about it.]

But hey, it probably could have been worse. Yuri could have lost a hand, and then Bucky would have made a bad joke.]
I can't tell if that's supposed to be a hello or not.

Yuri shakes out his hand a bit, wincing.]
Your guess is as good as mine. Not exactly my idea of a good time either way.
[Thankfully she didn't bite down hard enough to draw blood, but he's going to have some teeth indents along his fingers near the knuckles for awhile.]

[ So Zelda says, coming up closer wit ha smile. The Pokemon actually floating behind her is Miphanus the Metang, but Saber the Lickilicky is somewhere around here, lurking. ... Okay it can't hide well it's huge, but she is on the far side of the room for now, devouring some of its own food. ]

Bitey?
[ Wait. Yuri, what happened to your hand--oh. He might've figured it out. ]
Are you naming the Pokemon that because it bit you?
no subject
Not sure I'll actually name her that, but yeah. That's how we met. I gave her some berries and what does she do? Take a big bite out of my hand.
[He doesn't actually sound bothered by this at all, he's just as laid-back as usual.]

Morning, Yuri. Want a partner?

OTA + Lucas
It's the afternoon that sees her trying to find someone--she did have a promise to uphold, didn't she?]
Lucas, dear? Do you have a moment?
[Arion follows closely in tow, sniffing at the ground a bit but no less excited.
It's the evening that sees Camilla back in another part of Celestic Town, just kind of sitting near the shrine with Melady out; Melady's got Camilla's knitting needles again, but she's messing around with some bright, yellow yarn, following Camilla's dictations slow but sure...]
That's right. Over, under, through the loop... [Camilla's still helping her partner out a little bit, mostly because the poor thing doesn't quite have the dexterity to pull it off like a human can, mostly just making sure to hold the yarn so she can get the hang of it.] And again, dear. Just stay patient, dear, and it'll all come together naturally!
[It's actually kind of nice, and Melady is at least doing her best.]
Evening
[Michael came striding up purposefully, but he'll be distracted by this.]
How's the lessons coming?
no subject
She's been doing oh so well! I've been teaching her how to cast on, just so we can get started on her first little project; she's learning just how much goes into this, but I've never seen someone so determined to learn.
[Melady, to her credit, puffs up a bit in pride while she works; her work is a little tight, but Camilla's letting her get a feel for what to do.]
Ah, but did you need something?

They doing good?
no subject
They are; they're very good about picking fights they can win, and coming back when they've had their fun. I believe one of them should be...ah, here she comes.
[Beruka's still definitely rearing to fight, but she does look a little like she's had some scuffles. Camilla's quick to reach into her bag and get out a couple berries for her to munch while she applies a potion.]
I trust them to know their limits, and they know they can trust me to patch them right back up.

Camilla does look over to Kayneth, though, seeming to perk some.]
Of course! What could I assist you with? [Beat.] ...Is it going to require my hands?
[She figures yes, but the last time something required her hands this evening she had to deal with a twenty foot clingy serpent. As long as it's saner...]

Only a little bit of your time, if you're amendable to a battle. I did make a promise, after all, didn't I?

I'm quite interested in seeing how my partner fares.
