Week 13.

WEEK 13 The trip to Celestic Town is an unconventional one, though it's infinitely faster than walking and doesn't leave everyone feeling woozy in the same way that teleportation does. The town itself is a small one, though it's scenic, and there's a sort of beauty to it that's very rustic in nature; it's surrounded on both sides by mountainous routes that you're welcome to go on to both the west and the east, though it wouldn't be recommended that you venture too far out, seeing as they can be on the dangerous side for those who are unfamiliar with them. It seems Cynthia was right about one thing - there was certainly an incident at Lake Verity that went off almost as soon as you left, another of those deep pulses echoing through the surrounding area; it seems that whatever Mesprit did can be felt by the region as a whole, given that Celestic Town and the surrounding areas seem to have been affected as well despite being so far east of the lake. Cynthia herself can be found throughout the town for the duration, should anyone want to speak to her. Sometimes when left to her own devices, she can be seen in the company of a little girl who looks very similar to herself; sometimes she's with a pair of people much older. Either way, the family resemblance is strong. Lucas is here as well; he's still willing to speak to anyone that wants to, though he seems a bit subdued. Either way, it's been a long, harrowing trip so far; hopefully spending some time here will help to rejuvenate you. What of your darling partners? I do hope they've been alright, with everything that's happened...?

They've been managing. I don't think Herietta is very thrilled, and I can't blame her. It's not exactly pleasant experience. Horace is doing a little better, I think he's happy more than anything, but it's still... neither of them are doing well.

Donny doesn't seem to have been affected, though. And Flora's fine.

...I don't know whether it's worse when they're so happy they can't contain themselves, or so sad or irritated that they can't understand...

[Yeah, she. She gets it.]

I'm glad some of yours are quite fine, however. I imagine that they may be able to help your others adjust, in due time, if the world doesn't help them through it.

Donny was hatched from an egg. Maybe that's why she wasn't as affected?

[Then again, Flora is probably the only one who is really well off of Bucky's group, and that's including Bucky.]

...You may be onto something; Beruka here, she's just the same. They did take a lot longer to begin expressing anything than any of our captured friends, didn't they?

[That actually makes a ton of sense, honestly.]

It would certainly be a sensible conclusion to reach. A touch of a shame, even so...I do hope they feel better soon.

I'm sure they'll get there. They've never known anything else, but even with that, they've all made some pretty big strides, haven't they?

They truly have. It's like watching one's own dear siblings grow up...oh, it's the most beautiful of things.

[She is seriously so proud??]

It's just what they deserve in this world.
