Week 13.
WEEK 13 The trip to Celestic Town is an unconventional one, though it's infinitely faster than walking and doesn't leave everyone feeling woozy in the same way that teleportation does. The town itself is a small one, though it's scenic, and there's a sort of beauty to it that's very rustic in nature; it's surrounded on both sides by mountainous routes that you're welcome to go on to both the west and the east, though it wouldn't be recommended that you venture too far out, seeing as they can be on the dangerous side for those who are unfamiliar with them. It seems Cynthia was right about one thing - there was certainly an incident at Lake Verity that went off almost as soon as you left, another of those deep pulses echoing through the surrounding area; it seems that whatever Mesprit did can be felt by the region as a whole, given that Celestic Town and the surrounding areas seem to have been affected as well despite being so far east of the lake. Cynthia herself can be found throughout the town for the duration, should anyone want to speak to her. Sometimes when left to her own devices, she can be seen in the company of a little girl who looks very similar to herself; sometimes she's with a pair of people much older. Either way, the family resemblance is strong. Lucas is here as well; he's still willing to speak to anyone that wants to, though he seems a bit subdued. Either way, it's been a long, harrowing trip so far; hopefully spending some time here will help to rejuvenate you. POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES SURROUNDING ROUTES: MOUNTAINS/ELEVATED AREAS SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week thirteen of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! [Not with Yuri, anyway.
I'm cool with handwaving! The biggest thing Yuri will notice about this sparring session compared to their last, is that Eustace has definitely been practicing with using the stick for offense instead of plain defense. He'll exchange blows with Yuri, trying to cash in on any opening he can find. If he wants to use a weapon here, he doesn't have much choice but to pick up something to replace his gun for the time being.]

Hey, you've picked up a lot of things since we last sparred! You're a quick study.
[He looks so pleased with this!!]

Figured I should pick up a new weapon if I'm not gonna find Flamek Thunder anytime soon.
[...it probably won't be a stick if the need to use a weapon arises. Something a little more intimidating but similar.]

[He looks amused, though.]
That's easier said than done, though. I haven't seen a single weapon here... Unless you count Dein Nomos, I guess.
[...the ghost sword is a pokémon and therefore does not count.]

[You just gotta give them this face... Okay, in all seriousness-]
Same here. Dein Nomos at least resembles a sword, but I haven't seen much in the way of guns... That's why I've been improvising for now. [...] Have you been able to wield it?
[Dein Nomos, he means. He figures if Yuri could, he would be already. But he's curious about the story there.]
no subject
Nope. I've tried, but every time I get close, Dein Nomos goes intangible. It's like they don't want me to touch them.
[He's just kind of accepted this, but it's still pretty annoying that he has a sword he literally cannot use.]

[He shifts his stick in his hand, mulling that over.]
There's probably a good reason for it. Swinging them around might disorient them or something.
[But...do they do it on their own when they battle? Hrmm.]

Did you check out that research lab while we were in Sandgem? There might've been something there. Otherwise...I'd be surprised if you don't find anything in Canalave, considering everything that has been said about that place.
