Week 13.

WEEK 13 The trip to Celestic Town is an unconventional one, though it's infinitely faster than walking and doesn't leave everyone feeling woozy in the same way that teleportation does. The town itself is a small one, though it's scenic, and there's a sort of beauty to it that's very rustic in nature; it's surrounded on both sides by mountainous routes that you're welcome to go on to both the west and the east, though it wouldn't be recommended that you venture too far out, seeing as they can be on the dangerous side for those who are unfamiliar with them. It seems Cynthia was right about one thing - there was certainly an incident at Lake Verity that went off almost as soon as you left, another of those deep pulses echoing through the surrounding area; it seems that whatever Mesprit did can be felt by the region as a whole, given that Celestic Town and the surrounding areas seem to have been affected as well despite being so far east of the lake. Cynthia herself can be found throughout the town for the duration, should anyone want to speak to her. Sometimes when left to her own devices, she can be seen in the company of a little girl who looks very similar to herself; sometimes she's with a pair of people much older. Either way, the family resemblance is strong. Lucas is here as well; he's still willing to speak to anyone that wants to, though he seems a bit subdued. Either way, it's been a long, harrowing trip so far; hopefully spending some time here will help to rejuvenate you. C'mon, get off— [he's shaking his hand to try to get the gible to let go, before addressing michael] This is not funny!

Yeah, yeah, sorry.

[He's still kinda smiling and shaking his head as he walks over, though. He's got a Feebas tucked under one arm like it's a purse or something.]

You wanna shoot some water at it or something, buddy? [Feebas only knows Tackle and Splash. It flails its fins.] Didn't think so - here. You might have to shove your hand further in, some reptiles have those angled teeth.

[He puts Feebas on the ground to prep for trying to tug Gible loose.]

You think that'll work?

[He'll quit trying to flail around so Michael can get a grip on the Gible whenever he's ready. The Gible does not seem to give a single fuck about what's going on right now, so it shouldn't be hard.]

Couldn't hurt. Most things don't enjoy having an arm thrust down their throat.

[Although, looking at the teeth, they seem straight. Well.

Michael's just gonna try to pry the jaws apart and tug Gible off. Not hurting himself on those teeth kinda takes priority, but. Gonna try.]

[Between Michael's attempts and Yuri quite literally taking Michael's advice and shoving his hand further in the poor Pokémon's mouth, her jaws snap open and Yuri frees his hand. Gible doesn't actually look all that bothered by this development, but she'll try to wriggle out of Michael's grip.]

Oww, that stings... Hey, thanks for the help. Don't know what I would've done without you.

[eudaimonikos]

[He's not gonna put her down, unless she tries to bite him or something.]

Suffered, probably? [He smiles.] You got it, bud. How'd that even happen? The wild ones don't usually end up getting that close.

[fatalstrikes]

[She's not going to! She'll keep wriggling, but it shouldn't be too hard to keep her in place.]

Oh uh, yeah, that was my bad. I guess I got too close before he was done eating.

[He rubs the back of his head with his uninjured hand. Whoops???

Gible squawks a bit at that. She's a she??? Don't be fuckin' rude, Yuri.]

Huh. Yeah, that's pretty stupid.

[You don't even do that with domestic animals, man.]

Do you want this? Because I don't, I'm gonna let it go.

[fatalstrikes]

[Gible squawks at that too?? Michael don't be rude!!!]

I have been looking for a new partner, but I'm kinda having second thoughts after being bitten. You can let him go.

[eudaimonikos]

Alright... [He leans down to put Gible down! No offense, dude, but he just picked up like two new Pokemon and he has no time or attention for a new one.] There you go, little guy.

[fatalstrikes]

[She's free!! She's... going to waddle over and shove her entire face into Yuri's bag, looking for more food.]

...I already gave you a bunch of berries and you bit me, that wasn't enough for you?

[It's only half-hearted complaining at best, though.]

It's gotten the taste for human flesh.

[michael, why]

If I die and come back as a ghost Pokémon, will you look after me?
