Week 13.

WEEK 13 The trip to Celestic Town is an unconventional one, though it's infinitely faster than walking and doesn't leave everyone feeling woozy in the same way that teleportation does. The town itself is a small one, though it's scenic, and there's a sort of beauty to it that's very rustic in nature; it's surrounded on both sides by mountainous routes that you're welcome to go on to both the west and the east, though it wouldn't be recommended that you venture too far out, seeing as they can be on the dangerous side for those who are unfamiliar with them. It seems Cynthia was right about one thing - there was certainly an incident at Lake Verity that went off almost as soon as you left, another of those deep pulses echoing through the surrounding area; it seems that whatever Mesprit did can be felt by the region as a whole, given that Celestic Town and the surrounding areas seem to have been affected as well despite being so far east of the lake. Cynthia herself can be found throughout the town for the duration, should anyone want to speak to her. Sometimes when left to her own devices, she can be seen in the company of a little girl who looks very similar to herself; sometimes she's with a pair of people much older. Either way, the family resemblance is strong. Lucas is here as well; he's still willing to speak to anyone that wants to, though he seems a bit subdued. Either way, it's been a long, harrowing trip so far; hopefully spending some time here will help to rejuvenate you. It's understandable to still be worried, I think. Even I was when we had helped out Azelf the first time around and I didn't know if it'd wind up the same after we had healed it up. But, I think now since all three are healed up, it will be harder for Team Galactic to do their thing.

But yeah, Pokemon really are strong. Even when they look like they might be much or take all that much, they can. It helps when they have support too, just like with people.

[gekkaju]

Yeah...with people getting back to normal, they'll be even stronger.

[Despite this though, Atsushi still looks a touch pensive.]

I'm glad that they're all okay now, at least. It's just weird to think that...we were able to get to them so easily, I guess? Not that it was...easy, but...you'd think Team Galactic would have captured them all or something to keep this sort of thing from happening.

[Why leave them where they were, in that case?]

I think the first time around Team Galactic had timing on their side when they forced them to do what they wanted to get done, with probably a lot of other things that they didn't when the Guardians managed to get away from them.

[ At least that's how he took it. ]

I also don't think it's easy to really keep Pokemon like Lake Guardians easily captured...I guess because of their strong will and strong everything?

[ ...Ventus casually doesn't talk about the frozen people incident, because that's something he doesn't really want to think about too often let alone talk. ]

[That's probably for the best...that's a little literal fridge horror Atsushi probably wouldn't know what to do with.]

That makes sense. I don't think I'd want to try keeping them on lockdown even if I could use their powers...getting on the bad side of a Pokemon that strong doesn't seem like a good idea.

[ventulus]

[ It's good Atsushi came after that... ]

Yep, Pokemon like that can get scary when they're mad. Let's be glad we were able to get them on our side and didn't make them too angry or anything.

[ Because it's a good thing that they managed to win the Guardians over and help them out for a lot of reasons. ]

[gekkaju]

No kidding...but there have to be other Pokemon out there too like that, right? Other really strong Pokemon...I guess they must have been badly affected by all of this too.

[ventulus]

There are really strong Pokemon out there too--besides the Lake Guardians.

[ He remembers well that Cyrus still has control over some of them apparently. ]

I'm not sure how they're all doing right now, but I don't doubt that they weren't badly affected by what Cyrus has done.

[gekkaju]

[Atsushi exhales deeply, rubbing his cheek with the inside of his palm.]

There's gotta be some way we can help them, too. If we can find them...if it worked for the Lake Guardians, it has to work for other Pokemon. That might be one of the keys to stopping Cyrus altogether, you know?

[ventulus]

Yeah...

[ He's giving this some thought -- others have mentioned it too so it's definitely something Ventus is not objectionable to at the slightest. ]

...Maybe if we asked around people might have some ideas where they could be, or even just by looking around could help too.

[gekkaju]

I think it would be a start. Even if it ends up not turning up anything, it's something to try.

By then, even if that doesn't work, I'm sure something else will have happened.
