Week 13.

WEEK 13 The trip to Celestic Town is an unconventional one, though it's infinitely faster than walking and doesn't leave everyone feeling woozy in the same way that teleportation does. The town itself is a small one, though it's scenic, and there's a sort of beauty to it that's very rustic in nature; it's surrounded on both sides by mountainous routes that you're welcome to go on to both the west and the east, though it wouldn't be recommended that you venture too far out, seeing as they can be on the dangerous side for those who are unfamiliar with them. It seems Cynthia was right about one thing - there was certainly an incident at Lake Verity that went off almost as soon as you left, another of those deep pulses echoing through the surrounding area; it seems that whatever Mesprit did can be felt by the region as a whole, given that Celestic Town and the surrounding areas seem to have been affected as well despite being so far east of the lake. Cynthia herself can be found throughout the town for the duration, should anyone want to speak to her. Sometimes when left to her own devices, she can be seen in the company of a little girl who looks very similar to herself; sometimes she's with a pair of people much older. Either way, the family resemblance is strong. Lucas is here as well; he's still willing to speak to anyone that wants to, though he seems a bit subdued. Either way, it's been a long, harrowing trip so far; hopefully spending some time here will help to rejuvenate you. [ So Zelda has in some ways actually been enjoying this change of pace here. It's slower, it's a welcome setting and... she's been exploring around with each of her Pokemon individually. Sometimes training, but mostly just sort of goofing around here. Today, in the morning, she's out with her Porygon (now named Vah Daroh) Who is holding some sort of thing which it has sort of lodged in its back? And it is looking around for anyone who might have... well, anything digital? It's been in the PC at the Center and Zelda's Sheikah Slate, but anyone got a phone? A laptop? Anything electronic like that? It is going to try to upload itself into it.

Zelda's following it around, looking a little sheepish, wondering where it's going with this? But she's sure here.

In the afternoon while some of her plan is to see Lucas and speak with him about her research and his own... before she finds him, she's actually practicing something with Miphanus the Metang. Namely, the both of them seem to be playing a simple game on a sheet of paper? numerous rounds of tic tac toe. ... It seems to find it stimulating. But after that, she's sure looking for Lucas to talk with him! It's hard to know when Miphanus has its fill, but...

And then finally, evening hits, and Zelda is actually trying her hand at cooking for more people. As usual, her cooking involves a stew, where she is making it mostly out of mushrooms and berries, some nuts that she's gathered over her trip here. The ingredients that they have on hand help, and once it's done, it'll end up basically being a potato leak! It's not the best, but she's confident enough, so (with her Lickilicky, Saber, lurking behind her) she's going to be offering it with a smile, ]

[ Well shit, she needs to give her more than just this little bowl of the more or less potato leak soup? She could offer some to her Pokemon too? After all, none of them eat as much as her Saber. Probably. Maybe. That said, yes. ]

[ And once evening comes, here's Ventus with Klefki floating behind him, when he actually probably approached curiously because there was the smell of something absolutely delicious--he's at least had something before evening. But no dinner just yet. ]

No, not really.

[ He reaches out for some when she offers. ]

...It smells pretty good too.

[ Or at least it did, to her sampling...? ]

Yep, I'd love to! I'm confident it turned out good too.

[ He'll definitely take a good amount if he's allowed and begin to just try it right then and there because why the heck not?

He also gives some to Klefki too because she looked like she wanted some as well. ]

[ It's a little on the sweet side (Zelda likes sweet things and she did mix in some berries) but... yes, it is pretty good! It's a knock off potato leak it's not that complicated. ]

I hope so.

[ She breams with some pride! ]

[ Well guess who likes sweet things? Him! ]

Zelda, this tastes...

[ Dramatic pause. ]

Amazing! How did you make it come together like tgus?

Oh... oh, thank you! It's a mix of root vegetables, mushrooms, and berries I've picked up along the way here. But the real secret was the pepper, salt, and other spices that they had around town. That's the real kicker here.

[ GET IT. Kicker. ]

[Hey, Zelda. Lucas is definitely around today, and he doesn't mind talking research; he's not too hard to find, he's usually sticking to the Center and the area near the shrine in town.]
