Week 13.

WEEK 13 The trip to Celestic Town is an unconventional one, though it's infinitely faster than walking and doesn't leave everyone feeling woozy in the same way that teleportation does. The town itself is a small one, though it's scenic, and there's a sort of beauty to it that's very rustic in nature; it's surrounded on both sides by mountainous routes that you're welcome to go on to both the west and the east, though it wouldn't be recommended that you venture too far out, seeing as they can be on the dangerous side for those who are unfamiliar with them. It seems Cynthia was right about one thing - there was certainly an incident at Lake Verity that went off almost as soon as you left, another of those deep pulses echoing through the surrounding area; it seems that whatever Mesprit did can be felt by the region as a whole, given that Celestic Town and the surrounding areas seem to have been affected as well despite being so far east of the lake. Cynthia herself can be found throughout the town for the duration, should anyone want to speak to her. Sometimes when left to her own devices, she can be seen in the company of a little girl who looks very similar to herself; sometimes she's with a pair of people much older. Either way, the family resemblance is strong. Lucas is here as well; he's still willing to speak to anyone that wants to, though he seems a bit subdued. Either way, it's been a long, harrowing trip so far; hopefully spending some time here will help to rejuvenate you. Hah, aw...I guess he's not too eager to give those up, is he?

He's been fond of them this whole time, which is why I wanted to give him a balm in the form of something else...

[ Sigh.... Urbin's magnetics are even attracting some nearby magnetic objects. Like cans and keychains. ]

[Poor Urbin...Atsushi tries not to smile too much, knowing that the Pokemon is probably saddened by the loss of his favorite accessory since evolving.]

Seems like there are a lot of options here, at least. Is there anything else here you like, Urbin?

How to portray flashy things?

... Double fingerguns with electricity coursing down its arms? Zelda cuts in, ]

He does like flashy things, I think.

Okay! Flashy, then, let's see...

[Atsushi turns back to the displays, rummaging around a little.

Then, without turning around:]

You think he might like a necklace? Or a collar?

[hyruglyphics]

I imagine he would, but would it fit around his large... head?

[ Body? Body-head? Either way, the Graveler objects to the framing!! ]

Well, they probably have something big enough for larger Pokemon, right? There are a lot of Pokemon bigger than he is, and it wouldn't be too fair if all of them couldn't wear accessories. We just need to look a little harder.

[hyruglyphics]

Though in every little store, perhaps not?

[ Ah well, she's going to go and look around on the shelves for something. Urbin, for his part, just sort of huffs a little and turns, trying to be careful not to knock over anything. They are bulky. ]

[gekkaju]

[Oh Urbin you poor soul...]

You could also use the things here to make something bigger for him, maybe? Not that I know what that might be, but...you seem pretty crafty, Zelda-chan.

Crafty...?

[ . . . Also -chan? She looks a little surprised, a keychain in her hand as she looks back at the guy? ]

[The honorifics are a force of habit and also culture, excuse him.]

You know, like- inventive and stuff.

Oh-- I-- thank you, that's very kind of you to say?

[ She shakes her head ]

I would not say that is a great talent of mine, but if ... it seems I give the impression, perhaps I'm underestimating myself.

[ Let's. Unwind the key chain. ]

Y-you don't have to, of course! But it's an option if you and Urbin have trouble finding something that fits him well.

[But after he says that, he looks to the keychain she's holding.]

Is Urbin magnetic?

[hyruglyphics]

Oh- Oh, extensively, yes! [ She claps her hands together and gets in closer to Atsushi and smiles. ]

Do you see those "hairs" on him? those are actually clusters of metal sand attracted to magnetic poles!

[gekkaju]

Is that right...?

[That's weird...but also kind of cool, actually.]

Metal sand though...that's not dangerous?

[hyruglyphics]

In theory, it could be. After all, it might cut someone or would be particularly dangerous to inhale. But they do remain fairly close to Urbin at all times.

[ She reaches out to pet the big rock gently, which it kind of sulks at, but it will go to check out the key chains. ]
