Week 14.
WEEK 14 Sunday is a rough day all around; it's for the best that you remain where you are for the day, for the sake of regrouping and recovering, and perhaps getting some sleep - assuming that any will come. However, as difficult though it may be (and as futile though it may seem) Monday is likely best seen as a day to depart - a day to start to take whatever actions can still be taken, and to assess where to go from here. A good place to start is Canalave City; it's where you were going to meet with Cynthia, and where you were planning on looking into the legends of Sinnoh. The city itself is beautiful, a massive port town split down the center by a large canal system filled with boats and clear water leading out to sea; however, the recent changes to the world have affected this place as well, perhaps making it a bit difficult to enjoy the city in its entirety. However, the library is here, as are several other points of interest; as difficult though it may be to see the world like this, the trip here will hopefully be worth your while in the end... POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES SURROUNDING ROUTES: PLAINS/FOREST / NEAR WATER MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week fourteen of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!] |

It...looks more like a grimace, but he's doing his best.]
Hi, Rey. Finding anything useful?

[Exiting the shelves, Rey approaches Atsushi's table; she doesn't sit just yet, instead wrapping her arms around the other and giving him a small smile.
It's sad, but it's...an attempt.]
I've found plenty of good information, but no distractions, so I'm not quite sure if this has been productive or not.
no subject
He hesitates, but just for a moment, before returning the gesture.]
I don't know if the information I've found is even any good or not...I can't really focus much on what I've read.
no subject
[Funnily enough, it's hard to study heavy material when your mind is in a dozen places at once. At least some of the books have nice pictures.]
I feel like I should be focusing, in case there's something buried in here that can help us against Cyrus, but....
[...
yeah that whole YEAH WE'LL TOTALLY FIGHT HIM AND WIN spirit is...lacking a little, at the moment]
no subject
...that's okay, I think.
[Atsushi reaches out, then, and shuts the book he'd been reading. It looks like it's something more educational than fiction, simply about Pokemon of the area.]
Even if there was something here, finding it and being able to make use of it are two different things. I'm not sure I'm going to be super great at either, right now.

[Information overload, and all that. Falling silent for a moment, Rey makes the decision to seat herself across from Atsushi, resting her arms on the table. Apparently we are definitely having a darn conversation, regardless of any social awkwardness on her part.
To her credit, she has been getting a lot of practice since she woke up here.
...]
...are you alright?
no subject
...No. I'm not.
[His reply is blunt, honest. But he doesn't leave that hanging for too long before he adds-]
I will be...eventually. It's just a lot.
no subject
...if it makes you feel better, I don't think any of us are. That was...definitely something.
[To put it mildly.]
I still have a lot of questions, and...emotions, I suppose, to work through. But I think the best thing for now is to focus on each other.
The most important thing is that we're all still here.
no subject
I don't know what I would do right now if I hadn't joined up with you guys, honestly. Just being with others...helps.
[Would he have had his spirit taken from him, too? It's a horrifying thought, something he's been trying and failing to not dwell on.]
I was certain that we were going to die. It felt like we were dying. ...but here we are.

[Rey's voice is soft as she echoes Atsushi, her eyes returning to her hands. He's right, isn't he? They are here, and their hearts are intact. Obviously, the Lake Guardians saw something in them that was worth saving.
...
...shouldn't that, alone, give them some hope...?]
...maybe Uxie, Azelf and Mesprit protected us for a reason. I mean, if we weren't doing something right, surely they wouldn't have bothered.
[...words....but, she's getting better at this sort of thing.]
What I'm trying to say is...perhaps we should give ourselves some credit.
no subject
That, or we've become their only hope. ...but you're right, Rey. I mean...Cyrus made it sound like we weren't a threat to him, yet still felt the need to try and destroy us anyway.
no subject
[That small smile is returned with a similar one.]
That, I think, is something to be proud of.
no subject
[It's a huge burden to bear, but at this point he's willing to shoulder it. That's basically what he's dedicated his whole being to at this point, anyway.]
By the way, Rey...Cynthia-san was the one who told us to come to this town, right? Since this huge library is here...do you think maybe there still is something here she might have wanted us to find?
[It'd be easier if she just SHOWED them in that case, or told them herself, but Atsushi doesn't have the energy to be frustrated about her being cagey.]
