Week 14.
WEEK 14 Sunday is a rough day all around; it's for the best that you remain where you are for the day, for the sake of regrouping and recovering, and perhaps getting some sleep - assuming that any will come. However, as difficult though it may be (and as futile though it may seem) Monday is likely best seen as a day to depart - a day to start to take whatever actions can still be taken, and to assess where to go from here. A good place to start is Canalave City; it's where you were going to meet with Cynthia, and where you were planning on looking into the legends of Sinnoh. The city itself is beautiful, a massive port town split down the center by a large canal system filled with boats and clear water leading out to sea; however, the recent changes to the world have affected this place as well, perhaps making it a bit difficult to enjoy the city in its entirety. However, the library is here, as are several other points of interest; as difficult though it may be to see the world like this, the trip here will hopefully be worth your while in the end... POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES SURROUNDING ROUTES: PLAINS/FOREST / NEAR WATER MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week fourteen of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!] |

Is that what that's like?

Wait, what was it you saw?

[He goes quiet for a second, to a concerned Haunt from Jane Doe.]
I was in this city, and I knew I was there with people that I - cared about, but I couldn't find anyone. And every time I tried to remember who I was looking for, it was like I forgot them more. Like someone was rebooting me, and eventually it was all just gonna be gone.

It's alright. Everyone's safe, and we aren't about to go anywhere without you.

[Michael's hand comes up to rest over the one on his shoulder, and he takes a few deep breaths. Okay. He's okay, it wasn't real, it - it seems like it should be embarrassing to be shaken this badly by something like a dream. It's the sort of thing he'd normally try to brush off, just like with Lake Verity, but he can't yet, and Ignis still isn't mocking him for it. It's...okay.
He should...]
What did you dream about?
no subject
Isolation. Being on my own in the face of an approaching darkness--I can't say it's a nightmare I'm unfamiliar with, though this was far more intense. And...there was something else, too.
[And it was that part which really unsettled him.]
...I think whatever we were following knows that we're here now. And that doesn't feel like a reassuring thought.
no subject
[Ooof, Michael does not like this.]
Maybe it'll just stay in there? The place was abandoned years before any of the current apocalypse started, but the city wasn't.

[Ignis sighed, adjusting his glasses and pressing a hand to his head.]
I thought there was something odd about that guestbook--it seemed to cut off rather suddenly. Did you see any indication of what happened there?
no subject
[how do you know that......]
no subject
[why are ypu both like this]
Regardless it’s clear something happened independently of Cyrus’ work. The question is, what?
no subject
I don't know. Some kind of Pokemon? Cyrus wouldn't bother, he'd just try the murder thing again. But if it's still capable of malice at all...
[Then it can't be an ordinary wild Pokemon.
There's a long sigh as Michael reaches the conclusion that it's probably one of the deities they came to find anyway, because it's not a huge leap.]
Ohhhh, I don't wanna do this.
no subject
[Ignis laughed bitterly, leaning on the table and dropping his head into his hands.]
I don’t either, not after that. But we came here for a reason, and we can’t give up or be scared off.
no subject
[uuuuuuugggggggGGGGHHHHHHH]
Why's it living in a shitty hotel, anyway?
no subject
Your guess is as good as mine. I'd not be surprised if it had something to do with whatever event caused it to be abandoned.
no subject
[At least the lake caves have, like, a mystical hermit-god kinda feel.
Michael's quiet for a moment.]
All that stuff you said, with the togetherness and all...you know that goes for you too, right?
no subject
[Beat.]
Wait--what do you mean?
no subject
[we don't have to address that]
I mean - you aren't going to be alone here, either.
[It's sort of awkward and he's a little thrown off at having to spell it out, but: he noticed that you comforted him after he described his nightmare, and then after you did yours we just sort of launched into practical matters, and that's visibly unfair.]
no subject
I should hope not; leave me behind and you're all liable to starve to death before long.
no subject
Heh - yeah, you're probably right. [.....] Will you show me how to cook a little better, sometime? Not trying to steal your gig, but that seems like...I don't know, basic human care?
