Week 14.

WEEK 14 Sunday is a rough day all around; it's for the best that you remain where you are for the day, for the sake of regrouping and recovering, and perhaps getting some sleep - assuming that any will come. However, as difficult though it may be (and as futile though it may seem) Monday is likely best seen as a day to depart - a day to start to take whatever actions can still be taken, and to assess where to go from here. A good place to start is Canalave City; it's where you were going to meet with Cynthia, and where you were planning on looking into the legends of Sinnoh. The city itself is beautiful, a massive port town split down the center by a large canal system filled with boats and clear water leading out to sea; however, the recent changes to the world have affected this place as well, perhaps making it a bit difficult to enjoy the city in its entirety. However, the library is here, as are several other points of interest; as difficult though it may be to see the world like this, the trip here will hopefully be worth your while in the end... [She'll listen to that, though she doesn't seem to know what to do with it; she sighs a little once that's out there, her gaze darting low before she raises it again to make eye contact properly. Okay.]

Well, I appreciate being told. I won't say that's like him, because it isn't - I've known him to threaten some strange things, but harming people isn't usually part of the agenda.

I and a few other people were trying to talk him down, but...

[He trails off. Honestly, even if it wasn't for certain people egging Cyrus on, it seemed sort of like he was going to "remake" the world regardless.]

I think he'd already decided to go through with it.

[azumods]

...I'm sorry.

[And she truly does sound it; it isn't an apology, precisely, but it's definitely sympathy.]

All of that sounds harrowing... And it's not all right, that much is obvious. But it is good to see that you made it through.

[semistableman]

[He's not really sure what to do with the sympathy, but he does offer a smile of sorts.]

I kinda got the feeling the gods he took control of may have put up a fight. I think the best way to describe him is "punched in the brain." He wasn't exactly reacting to anything.

[azumods]

[That gets a soft humming sound out of her; thinking, really.]

Team Galactic as a whole seems to be not entirely...right. We discussed it briefly last time I met with you - they don't improve, even as spirit seems to return to the rest of the region.

[She glances over at the man she's with briefly; he doesn't seem to be responding to the conversation as a whole, he's just paging blankly through the book she'd been showing him last.]

...This is Lucian, by the way. He's a friend of mine, and a member of the Elite Four; he's been showing similar complications. He doesn't show improvement, no matter what happens to the rest of the region.

All four of them are like that, from what I've seen. It seems something was done to them.

Something a little more permanent than simply having their spirits removed, I take it.

[It's not a question.]

There's got to be a way to help them. The way things are now... It's like time has stopped.

[azumods]

I've been hoping it isn't permanent, but they weren't showing improvement even before all of this happened again. It's...

[...It's worrying, is what it is. She's quiet for a moment before trying to shake it off a little.]

You're right, though. I've noticed that as well; everything seems to have been displaced somehow. I wouldn't be surprised if it's Dialga and Palkia's doing.

The ones shown on the ruins?

[...Man. The odds are not in their favor.]

He.... He rewrote everything with just one word, "Judgement."

[azumods]

[Mm.]

That sounds like the Creator's work. Arceus.

[semistableman]

[Don't mind him running his hand through his hair. This is all a little much.]

Our odds aren't good.

We were told there was potential for a fourth to be under his control, do you have any ideas what that one might have been?

[Considering Satan apparently hates his guts.]

[azumods]

I would assume Giratina, if no one knows what happened to it... There weren't many people around when he faced it down.

[semistableman]

Just the girl?

[I mean. He's not going to doubt that he has the entire damn pantheon under his control.]

What kind of power does Giratina have? To look out for.

[azumods]

Giratina has power over antimatter. Destruction and annihilation, in other words.

[...There's a reason it got kicked out of this plane of existence, maybe.]

That said, it also holds dominion over another dimension known as the Distortion World. It's different from this dimension, but at least for the time being, it feels similar - it's a place untouched by the constant change of time and space.

[semistableman]

I see.

[...Yeah. He thinks he gets why it was banished, especially if it's prone to being violent.]

It sounds like we're running a little low on options.

[azumods]

It isn't completely hopeless. As long as there's still some spirit left in the world, Cyrus can still be defied. I really do believe that, as bleak though things seem.

[semistableman]

If you don't have confidence in this world, who will? I think it's a good thing, holding onto those small options.

I've seen plenty of bleak things.

[azumods]

And it still really is a shame to hear that. But I hope that at the very least you'll continue to have strength, as well as faith in this world along with me.

I can't exactly give up now, can I?
