Week 14.
WEEK 14 Sunday is a rough day all around; it's for the best that you remain where you are for the day, for the sake of regrouping and recovering, and perhaps getting some sleep - assuming that any will come. However, as difficult though it may be (and as futile though it may seem) Monday is likely best seen as a day to depart - a day to start to take whatever actions can still be taken, and to assess where to go from here. A good place to start is Canalave City; it's where you were going to meet with Cynthia, and where you were planning on looking into the legends of Sinnoh. The city itself is beautiful, a massive port town split down the center by a large canal system filled with boats and clear water leading out to sea; however, the recent changes to the world have affected this place as well, perhaps making it a bit difficult to enjoy the city in its entirety. However, the library is here, as are several other points of interest; as difficult though it may be to see the world like this, the trip here will hopefully be worth your while in the end... [Atsushi reaches into his bag, pulling out a Great Ball and tapping the button to enlarge it.]

He tosses the ball up into the air, releasing a Stunky that lands on her paws just as he catches the ball falling back down. Her tail bristles, curled above her back as the belled collar around her neck jingles.]
This is Natto. She hasn't had much opportunity to battle with trained Pokemon yet that weren't my own.

[Ari will release his own Pokemon, an Espurr!]
This is my Pokemon that I'll battle with, Nya.
[The Espurr... just stares, with it's thousand yard stare at the other Pokemon and Atsushi.]

[He's pretty familiar with a lot of others he's seen, both wild and owned, but Nya is definitely new to him.
Also a little uh...hm. That Espurr sure is staring at them.]

[Espurr's stare goes from Natto to slowly turning it's gaze up toward Atsushi. Hi... ?]

[Oh god those eyes...they're cute, but also a little...scary, somehow? Like it can see right through him...
He shakes his head and stands up straight again.]
Well, I look forward to seeing how they battle, either way. Are you ready?

[Ari doesn't mind letting Atsushi and Natto make the first move, if they wish.]

Natto, use Focus Energy.
[The Stunky shifts her stance, planting her feet in the dirt as her bushy tail seems to grow even bushier, the rest of her glowing in a brief red aura before it disappears again.]

Nya, use Scratch!
[Here comes the Espurr, waving her paws through the air in an attempt to scratch the Stunky with it's claws!]

[Natto tries, but she's not very coordinated after coming out of that move like that, so she's unable to get out of the way in time. She stagger as the scratch lands, hurrying back to put some distance between them after the damage.]
Use Acid Spray!
[Maybe if he can get lucky with poison this will be a little easier.]

Dodge it!
[Nya attempts to jump back away herself, but some of it still manages to hit her feet here, to which she makes a slight frown of displeasure at this gunk touching her, clinging to her fur. Eww, just... eww.]
Use Disarming Voice!
[Nya opens her mouth and... makes a noise akin to practically shouting, if not screaming at her opponent here. This is probably going to hurt the ears of anyone hearing it, not just the Pokemon honestly.]

[Both Atsushi and Natto react to the sound at the same time, Atsushi leaning over a little with both hands pressed to his ears. Natto, meanwhile, doesn't have the same dexterity and is forced to endure it, screwing her eyes shut. It's disorienting as much as it is loud.]
Stop it with Fury Swipes!
[Atsushi commands, but Natto doesn't move- she can't hear him over the din.]

Oh--Nya, scratch it!
[The Espurr is flailing it's paws at the other Pokemon here to try to get Natto to stop biting it and get away from them.]

...Let go of them Natto, that's enough!
[The Stunky growls deeply, as if that'll mean Nya will start screaming again, but after Atsushi's prompting she finally lets go and darts back, pawing at her head where she was scratched.]
Sorry about that, she's a little...feisty.

[Seeing as Nya is clearly not interested in battling them anymore.]

[HE DIDN'T MEAN TO SCARE HER OH NO...
Atsushi shoots Natto a look, and that at least is all it takes for the Stunky to grumpily waddle back to his side.]
