Week 14.

WEEK 14 Sunday is a rough day all around; it's for the best that you remain where you are for the day, for the sake of regrouping and recovering, and perhaps getting some sleep - assuming that any will come. However, as difficult though it may be (and as futile though it may seem) Monday is likely best seen as a day to depart - a day to start to take whatever actions can still be taken, and to assess where to go from here. A good place to start is Canalave City; it's where you were going to meet with Cynthia, and where you were planning on looking into the legends of Sinnoh. The city itself is beautiful, a massive port town split down the center by a large canal system filled with boats and clear water leading out to sea; however, the recent changes to the world have affected this place as well, perhaps making it a bit difficult to enjoy the city in its entirety. However, the library is here, as are several other points of interest; as difficult though it may be to see the world like this, the trip here will hopefully be worth your while in the end... [He knows it's an unfair question to ask, one neither of them have a clear answer for. But maybe being given false hope is about all he can hope for to keep himself together right now.]

[...It is, on some level, but Camilla doesn't hesitate in her answer.]

I believe that we can, Atsushi. He can't quash us out entirely; that much has been proven already. So long as we live and breathe, we can do this.

[do you want a hug, atsushi, the hand on his shoulder is offering a small squeeze but. god, you look like you need one]

[...he actually wouldn't mind a hug, there aren't many people who hug these days, and certainly not for him.]

Then...as long as we are alive, I'm going to try to keep holding on to that.

You guys just have to promise me that we won't break apart. I'm...scared of what might happen if we don't stay together, now.

I think we've been through entirely too much to consider that much, dear, but if you would like the assurance plain and clear...I shall give it to you.

We will not break apart--we will hold ourselves together as a group, and we will not fall to pieces.

[Those are bold words from Camilla, really, but she believes in them wholeheartedly. Maybe it's optimism, maybe it's just blind faith, but she says it with conviction in her.

...Though, her words go genuinely soft after she says that much, a smile forming on her face.]

...But if you still need some time to feel discouraged, or to feel downtrodden, take it, dear. Take the time to let such a thing out, so you may be able to go forward with determination.

[You know...it really means a lot to him to hear that. To be given permission to feel sad, as much as feeling optimistic about things getting better. It's easier to take than being told just to suck it up and move forward. It's not so easy, sometimes.]

Thank you. I won't be like this forever, I promise.

[He laughs a bit, reaching up to wipe the corner of his eyes again.]

By tomorrow, I'm going to definitely be more angry than sad. That's for sure.

...That's good, dear.

[Camilla makes to try and ruffle his hair again, the smile on her face warm and kind.]

I'm quite glad to hear that. Use that anger to drive yourself forward, and don't lose sight of what's important.

I won't, I'll make sure of that. I don't want Cyrus and his subordinates to forget that we still have our spirits too, despite everything.

[Oh god he's starting to sound too much like a shounen protag.]

[But it's so cute, though?

...Gods, you know what Atsushi, that is going to net you a hug--it's a quick motion, and hopefully one he doesn't mind too much, but Camilla smiles gently and squeezes just a tiny bit.]

Oh, it's no trouble at all, darling. I'm always glad to help; it's what I do all the time at home, and I'm glad that I was able to brighten you up just a touch!

[Honestly? He doesn't get hugs crazy often, so he doesn't mind it. In fact, if she doesn't mind, he'll just...carefully hug back, since the opportunity is there.

[boi emmeryn is mom, she's sis, she's not old enough to be mom--

Either way, that's actually more than okay with Camilla! She nods never the less, though, chuckling lightheartedly.]

I always try to. I have a sweet baby brother and wonderful little sisters to look out for, after all--they know they can always come to their big sister for any help at all.
