Week 14.

WEEK 14

Sunday is a rough day all around; it's for the best that you remain where you are for the day, for the sake of regrouping and recovering, and perhaps getting some sleep - assuming that any will come. However, as difficult though it may be (and as futile though it may seem) Monday is likely best seen as a day to depart - a day to start to take whatever actions can still be taken, and to assess where to go from here. A good place to start is Canalave City; it's where you were going to meet with Cynthia, and where you were planning on looking into the legends of Sinnoh. The city itself is beautiful, a massive port town split down the center by a large canal system filled with boats and clear water leading out to sea; however, the recent changes to the world have affected this place as well, perhaps making it a bit difficult to enjoy the city in its entirety.

However, the library is here, as are several other points of interest; as difficult though it may be to see the world like this, the trip here will hopefully be worth your while in the end...

CURRENT LOCATION: CANALAVE CITY
POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES
SURROUNDING ROUTES: PLAINS/FOREST / NEAR WATER

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week fourteen of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!]

eudaimonikos: (one look from you)

[personal profile] eudaimonikos 2018-09-06 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
...really? Everyone wasn't even there.
swiftasacoursingkawa: (really. REALLY.)

[personal profile] swiftasacoursingkawa 2018-09-06 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
I meant everyone that was there.

[Deadpan.]

But I'm pretty sure anyone else who would have heard would be worried about you, too.
eudaimonikos: (would you give me)

[personal profile] eudaimonikos 2018-09-06 01:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh.

[People being openly worried about him is still kinda novel and flattering!]

Well, don't worry about it. I'm fine now!

[You deserve it!

Kinda!]

I...If you say so, but it musta been really something if it weirded you out...

[He's not Wrong.]
eudaimonikos: (no exit)

[personal profile] eudaimonikos 2018-09-07 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah...

[Michael's smile falters a little, but he quickly seizes on something else.]

But Ignis and I talked afterwards, and he said he'd teach me how to cook a few things. So I thought about it, and I picked something that I know most humans really like.

[He picks up the notebook and turns it so Sena can see it. CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES is written on the top, above an actually pretty good drawing of said cookie. The rest of the page is covered in a bunch of notes that look like they were scrawled by an absolute lunatic.]

I've been cross-referencing all the recipes that I could find, and I've developed a 51-point plan for making the perfect chocolate chip cookie. Well - it's still in development, I might end up adding a few more points.

[You know, like people who are fine do?]

Oh!

[Sena might not be the sharpest tool in the box, but he can pick up on an eager attempt to change the topic of conversation.]

Ignis is a really good cook, so I bet you'd learn how to cook something really -

[And then the notebook is flipped around, and Sena is faced with something that wouldn't look out of place in one of Hiruma's little black books.]

- great.

[Um.]

Is...fifty one points really necessary...?

eudaimonikos: ('cause everything else)

[personal profile] eudaimonikos 2018-09-07 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. That's why I wrote them down.

[personal profile] swiftasacoursingkawa 2018-09-07 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
[Of course...]

It sounds like the cookies are gonna come out, um...interesting...

[Is he worried? Yes.]
eudaimonikos: (as many times)

[personal profile] eudaimonikos 2018-09-07 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
They're going to come out perfectly, Sena. That's the point of the plan. See, I've identified all the most common ingredient ratios - and some of the weird ones, I don't think nuts are supposed to be in there...

Also, I did some math - [He flips to a whole new page of crazy, there is more to this than Sena has seen.] - to work out the appropriate distribution of chocolate chips. You have to account for a few different variables, it's really very interesting.

[personal profile] swiftasacoursingkawa 2018-09-07 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
So...er...

[Sena doesn't understand head nor tails of all these notes, and the slowly growing fearful expression on his face says it all.]

How...um. Are you gonna pick the right..."ratio"?
eudaimonikos: (consequences)

[personal profile] eudaimonikos 2018-09-08 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I think most of it can be extrapolated from the common patterns...but I could use some input. How many chocolate chips do you think a cookie should have, just on average?

[personal profile] swiftasacoursingkawa 2018-09-08 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
H-huh...?

[That's...um. Sudden.]

I guess it depends on the size, but, er...maybe like...eight or ten?

[A perfectly average answer.]
eudaimonikos: (start over again and again)

[personal profile] eudaimonikos 2018-09-08 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
[Michael nods, writing that down in a margin with Sena's name attached.]

I'm assuming average sized chips. The size of the cookies appears to be somewhat variable - which is fine, I can work with that.
