Week 14.

WEEK 14 Sunday is a rough day all around; it's for the best that you remain where you are for the day, for the sake of regrouping and recovering, and perhaps getting some sleep - assuming that any will come. However, as difficult though it may be (and as futile though it may seem) Monday is likely best seen as a day to depart - a day to start to take whatever actions can still be taken, and to assess where to go from here. A good place to start is Canalave City; it's where you were going to meet with Cynthia, and where you were planning on looking into the legends of Sinnoh. The city itself is beautiful, a massive port town split down the center by a large canal system filled with boats and clear water leading out to sea; however, the recent changes to the world have affected this place as well, perhaps making it a bit difficult to enjoy the city in its entirety. However, the library is here, as are several other points of interest; as difficult though it may be to see the world like this, the trip here will hopefully be worth your while in the end... Joined the evolution brigade, huh? Glad we're all still getting stronger... hopefully.

Yeah... I hope so too. It's a good sign, I think... that we're still able to train and help our Pokemon grow here, despite what's happened.

[niceoppai]

Yeah. But I'm still pretty freaked out by all this everything going on. How's Heyuu feeling?

[omissions]

[At that, Ari places a hand against the gears again. His Pokémon has never been very vocal, or emotive on the outside, but he thinks he can sometimes guess by the way the gears react to his touch.]

The same as before, but... worried about what might happen when we see Cyrus again, I'm sure.

... But it's okay, because I'll make sure to protect them. We're partners, so... I want to do my best to help.

[niceoppai]

[sniff] That's so sad... It's really inspiring! I wish Cyrus could feel something like that instead of just hating everything!

[omissions]

["Inspiring"... huh. He can't recall the last time someone said that about his words before.]

Yeah... it's not right, what he's doing. We need to stop him and make him see that.

[niceoppai]

I'd love to, but first off, how are we gonna stop 'im from just wiping us off the map first?

[omissions]

... I don't know.

[Just sort of slumping a little as he says it, too.]

Don't suppose there's any way to convince the Pokémon under his control to... not do any of this world erasing business he's ordering them around for?

[niceoppai]

Cynthia did bring up that whole thing earlier. Y'know, how Team Galactic and their Pokémon never got any better with the rest of the world. Maybe if we can figure out what extra thing Cyrus did to them, we can find out how to reverse it, and we can get his team to listen!

[omissions]

Oh... yeah, that's a good idea. There's gotta be something that can be found to help reverse what happened to them.

[niceoppai]

Maybe even whatever happened to Cyrus. I mean, he made his bed and he's rolling around in it, but Cynthia said he usually didn't try to kill his enemies. Something's up.

[omissions]

Maybe... but we won't really know for sure until we see him again.

[And it's not really something he's looking forward to, but... it'll happen eventually.]

[niceoppai]

Sure hope that's when we're prepared for it, if it has to be at all.

[omissions]

Yeah... but I think as long as we all keep working hard together, we'll be better prepared for when we see him next time.

[niceoppai]

Hope so. I'm glad you're so optimistic about it, anyway.

Optimistic? [Ari tilts his head a little at that... yeah, it does sound kind of optimistic of him, doesn't it?] I mean, it's better than the alternative, right?

[niceoppai]

True enough, I guess. Hopefully it works out.
