WEEK 4 Backtracking may not seem like an ideal situation, especially not given the situation on Sunday morning, but it isn't without reason or merit; after all, Lake Valor is within a reasonable distance, and perhaps more importantly, there's reason to believe that something may be there. Whether it's one of the Guardians you seek or something else entirely has yet to be seen; there's only one way to know for sure, however. So back onto Route 213 it is; you should reach Route 214 by Tuesday afternoon, and the entrance to Lake Valor by Thursday night; you may want to wait to explore the lakefront proper during the morning, however. Who knows what you may run into... You've seen at least some reasons to not give up hope as you left Pastoria; for the time being, let that hope give you strength. It really does! ... Or, no, agile might be more the word than graceful! It reminds me of the way gorons move!

I don't know, seems kind of graceful to me.

[But he's grinning, and also a pretty big man himself; he's bulky enough it's unlikely he's all that good at being graceful.]

What're gorons?

They're one of the tribes of Hyrule, who live on Death Mountain! Honestly, they resemble those gravelers there somewhat.

They sound like an interesting group of people.

[Why is their home called Death Mountain?? That is really dangerous-sounding. And kind of cool.]

They truly can be! They're known for a jolly disposition and a simple lifestyle. A dear friend of mine, Daruk, was a member of the tribe.

[ The graveler, now at the bottom of the hill is heading towards it's apparent objective... some like... mossy rock near a little spring down here? ]

[semistableman]

[Oh he's not sure he likes that past tense, but doesn't comment on it.]

They sound like the kind of people I'd get along with, to tell the truth.

[hyruglyphics]

I think you would too, honestly. Them and the Sheikah both. [ A beat and she confesses, ] ... I've actually given some thought as to which people of Hyrule everyone would get along with the most before now.

[semistableman]

[Bucky smiles.]

I'd like to meet them.

[hyruglyphics]

And I would love to introduce you! ... [ she laughs a little bit for it, and- ... The graveler sure is eating that moss rock! Her eyes go wider! Oh, they're that similar?! ]

That sounds wonderful, honestly.

[And then the rock creature just kind of... eats a rock. Huh.]

Huh. It's like the Rock Biter.

[....because of course his pop culture knowledge is dated.]

Oh, does your world have people who eat rocks as well?

[ Look. ]

[semistableman]

...Oh, no. Rock Biter is a character from a movie, he's an enormous giant who eats rocks. He's friends with this guy who rides a snail and another guy who rides a bat.

[He actually sounds really excited about it.]

[ What the fuck is a movie? That said, she looks to the rock eating rock and then back to Bucky and she nods! ]

Are they small or at they giant snails and bats?

[semistableman]

[But shrugs.]

Honestly, I don't know? I think they were small.

[hyruglyphics]

Then they were quite lucky to have had a giant friend like that?

[semistableman]

Probably. The guy with the bat didn't seem to like him too much; the movie didn't spend a lot of time on them, though.

Did they compete?

[ What the fuck is a movie.... ]

[semistableman]

No, he was worried that the Rock Biter was going to crush people with rocks because he was a messy eater.

[...........]

It's kind of a strange story.

I...t certainly sounds as if it were.

Once the kid is actually introduced, it gets better.

He rides on a dragon that's fluffy and kind of looks like a dog.

[He loves this movie so much.

Sure it's about how adulthood kills childlike wonder and imagination, but Falcor is so cool.]

[ Uh? Wow. ] Oh, wow, what an image... That truly does sound impessive!

Too bad I can't show it to anyone. I'm not sure if this place even has radios.

[hyruglyphics]

... I do not know what that is. But I know that there are televisions here!

[ WHICH IS AMAZING? ]

Oh!

[He brightens.]

They probably have movies of their own.

Oh, are the movies stories told on... the televisions? those moving play-pictures?
