Week 6.
WEEK 6 One thing is going to be made abundantly clear this week: the routes you're traveling are cold. Through Monday night, you'll likely find it best to skirt around the foot of that massive mountain that lies immediately to the east of Eterna City; it looks treacherous, and while some of you may be up to the trip, it's probably best to not waste your energy before you get anywhere near Lake Acuity. The journey is going to be a long one before you get there, but the first few days will see you making good time, actually. Between that and the noticeable changes to the world, maybe it won't be so bad...? ...Or not. Tuesday morning and beyond is where the hell sets in for those of you that aren't used to or don't like the cold. The routes are full of perpetual snowfall; it isn't heavy, given the time of year, but the fact of the matter is that it's still coming down, and the snow is piled up directly on the route clear up to the average person's waist. It makes traveling slow going, though if you have a fire-type it might be feasible to clear a bit more of a path - be careful with that, though, because all the runoff has to go somewhere, and it's possible that you'll just make the path icy in the end. Either way, it's cold, due to the snowfall you're going to be wet, and traveling is going to be very, very slow; here's hoping whatever's at that lake is worth it, in the end. ...Wherever the lake may actually happen to lie; no matter where you look on the way to Snowpoint City, you won't find an entrance to it... POKEMON AVAILABLE: MOUNTAINS/ELEVATED AREAS / SNOWY TERRAIN SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week six of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend.] |

[ She supposes she's saying that more to Monta than anything? Still, to watch that display, she smiles, and Miphanus looks excited at that idea too, making some beeping sounds as the Beldum floats in to check out the other Pokemon! And Vee, how dod you shoot stars like that??? Still, for Zelda's part... ]
That was an impressive battle, for teamwork.

[Sena can't help but sweat a little looking back at said path. It's kinda...]
Sorry about the whole, uh... [He motions with his gloved hand, making a zig-zagging motion. Yeah.]
You think so? I noticed Monta kept accidentally spooking them up, so I think it helps Vee and Nin with getting used to battles if they have the advantage...
[Trick plays. He's far too used to them by now. Meanwhile, Vee doesn't really get how to answer Miphanus. She just does, dude. She doesn't get why it's called Swift, either, but she's never seen the stars miss, either! They're just way too fast for things to dodge.]
no subject
But no, it is to be expected that the path would wind.
[ Given how Sena... trained them...
That said! Miphanus is like... well, starry eye...d? There's only one eye. Still, it does want to know more about those Stars... all it can really do is tackle hard. It's called Take Down but it doesn't really know that, it's just... hits stuff hard. ]
no subject
Yeah, I guess it helps that all my Pokemon seem to be pretty fast and small right now...
[Wow. Surely This Is A Coincidence.] So they're good at backing each other up...uh, when Monta isn't running ahead, anyway.
[hint hint Monta please don't start burning a path yet they need to regroup, please
also Vee doesn't really know how to explain how Fast Stars works, just that she kinda...forms the energy and then whips around her tail and they get fired? it's nice she guesses.]
no subject
Monta does seem to the the most headstrong of them, don't they?
[ That said, she nods and laughs a little, looking at what Miphanus is doing. ]
Miphanus hasn't developed many battle techniques quite yet... all they can do still so far is tackle. Though their floating is quite potent.
no subject
Definitely. He really seems to like getting things done fast...
[Which means he's an excellent fit for a fast little guy like Sena, then!]
Isn't that kinda weird, though? You've been practicing a lot with them, so wouldn't they have learned something else by now?
no subject
[ So. Hmmm.
... Yeah, it guesses not. ... What about you, Nin, can you do cool things? ]
no subject
[They've also found it very useful. It's too much like using the Devil Bat Ghost for Sena to not take advantage of it.]
Maybe you're right and it is uh...something that Miphanus just can't do? Although I wonder why a Pokemon would only ever be able to tackle and float...
[Nin waves a claw. It can scratch things but that's not very cool. Also it can suck the life out of things? Which is also not that cool and maybe a little scary, but its life sucking attack isn't that strong, anyway.]
no subject
[ Or something. But yeah, the TM sure didn't work!! It's weird.
But oh!! Life sucking sounds neat too! Can you try the life sucky thing on them? ]
no subject
[He tilts his head.] Can Miphanus evolve?
[Nin doesn't think anything of it, so it flies onto Miphanus and clings on before trying the life-sucky thing.
Nin used Absorb! It's not very effective...]
no subject
[ Miphanus doesn't care! That barely hurts! Actually, it seems amused? But Zelda is a bit surprised for the whole surprise sucky thing that the bug is doing and sort of hurries over... ]
no subject
H-hey, Nin! Stop that!
[Oh, okay. Sure.] Ergh...were you hungry or something... [Picking up Nin now, who takes the opportunity to climb back onto Sena's shoulder.]
no subject
[ So you basically resist everything under god and the sun here. Zelda pets Miphanus, who doesn't look... bothered at all... ]
no subject
Sorry about that, you two...
no subject
[ Because.
... Look Miphanus is like that. ]
no subject
[Sena's not sure if he buys that explanation, but if it's true...]
Miphanus and you are a lot alike, huh?
no subject
[ And Miphanus beeps too and she glances at the Beldum who in turn glances at her... ]
no subject
[He laughs a little awkwardly at that.]
So I don't think you need to worry about this move problem...the way you two are, you'd definitely find an answer someday.
no subject
[ ahah. But yeah, looking at the others... considering some of the others... ]
I do think most of the ones we awoke with are suited to us, though.
no subject
[Sena can't help but wonder.]
I mean...even if our Pokemon's personalities mesh well with ours, how is that supposed to help when they wanted us all emotionless in the first place...?
no subject
Well, one other possibility is, ]
There could be internal decent in Team Galactic...? Or I suppose it depends where and how these ones came from.
no subject
[You're confusing him again, Zelda.]
You mean...there might be people inside Team Galactic who don't like what's going on...?
[He can't help but think of Saturn. The moment where he confessed that he didn't expect what had happened to what must have been a treasured partner. He hadn't known.]
You think...there might be people who felt...betrayed...?
no subject
[ She confesses that immediately, stepping back from the Pokemon as she begins to thoughtfully walk through the low settled snow. Hopefully this isn't too boring for Monta to want to run ahead... ]
The question at hand is how we ended up with these Pokemon on us when we awoke... and so when and how we got them. There are a great many potent coincidences piled on top of each other in relation to them: their personalities are compatible with our own, many of them are from regions foreign to Sinnoh, and they had seemed to regain their spirit at a rate faster than anything else in the world other than ourselves. Putting these together... unless there is a greater gap period in our memories in which we befriended them before our spirit was taken, they would have to be assigned to us.
So if they were assigned, and the spirit was drained at the time.... how then do their personalities suit us so much?
no subject
If it was just one or two of us, it'd be a coincidence, but...
[Everyone has a Pokemon that suits them to some degree.]
Maybe they regained their personality faster because they've been with us longer? Or because they got hit with the thing that woke us up but it didn't affect them as quickly?
[Still. That doesn't explain all of it, does it?]
Still...I can't think of anything else. [Umm...] Maybe if we knew what our designations were supposed to mean or something? [Didn't you say you had the same letter as Maylene, Zelda?]
no subject
I've wondered about those as well. Maylene had the same letter as me, but I didn't get to ask about it... and then we know both Rey and myself were assigned under Saturn, but we don't have the same letter.
[ Mmm. ] But could those really account for the personalities of the Pokemon...? I do believe you're right that the flash of light would explain their awakening, but...
