Week 10.

WEEK 10

You've found a few new friends this past week, and along with them, a new town to explore.

Granted, there doesn't seem to be much, particularly when compared to the cities you started out in; at the same time, the air is fresh with the scent of flowers and honey wafting on the breeze. Along with the usual Pokémon that can be found in populated areas, it seems that several Combees have made their home here - they can be found drifting along idly, seeming no more capable of true emotion than anyone or anything else, but perhaps they're trying their best. It's a little difficult to say; they are still bees, after all.

That said, the world continues to change around you, bit by bit; you still have a long way to go before you've saved everyone, but for the time being you should probably recharge, and take some time to sort through what should happen next. Talking to the locals may net you the information that there's something odd about the meadow north of town; perhaps a few of you should go to check it out...

[Well, damn. Camilla was kind of hoping the creature would come out, but...]

You did good work, Bito. Let me see if I can take a small glimpse.

[Arion stays relatively close by, but Camilla's at least gonna try to take a look at what's hiding in there as gently as she can, moving her bangs out of the way so she might be able to see what's going down...]

[It is a Pokémon, that much is clear - it is also very small and...not expecting to see a human here, that much is pretty obvious. It's still kind of trembling a lot but at least it isn't moving further away? You can kind of see its eyes staring at you, it's kind of hard to make out but they've got that dull sort of shine to them that animals tend to have in low light.

...After a moment it might scoot forward a bit like it's considering trying to sniff you or something. Not enough to emerge from its hiding spot, but it is...considering.]

[Well, whatever's in here is definitely scared. Poor thing...Camilla feels sympathy towards it already, really, even if all she can make out is that low glimmer of the little one's eyes.]

There, there, dear. You don't have to be afraid. We haven't come to harm you...

[She'll tentatively put one of her hands just outside of the entrance; it's a slow motion to try not and scare it further, but if you wanna sniff, come sniff, tiny one.]

Yes, we are here mostly to ... well, just to investigate.

[ Can it understand that? Maybe not? Well, if it's yet another god, then maybe, but it seems small? But then Azelf and Uxie were small... ah well .]

[It will, eventually, come sniff; it takes it a few moments to deliberate, but eventually it'll come out a bit - it really doesn't seem like it was expecting humans, and it seems a little skittish, but...

Hi there.

It's a small white and green thing, and from the look of it it's usually adorned with some sort of flowers on its body; however, at the moment the flowers look similar to the ones in those dead patches outside - wilted and dying, almost dried up in some way.]

[...Oh gods. WHY DO THESE GOD-LIKE CREATURES KEEP BEING SO PRECIOUS LOOKING.

Granted, she doesn't know it's a god, but Camilla's eyes practically light up when it comes out, looking the creature over with pursed lips. Oh...]

Oh, the poor thing...it looks injured, or at the very least quite sickly.

Little one, you must be feeling positively dreadful, aren't you?

[Emmeryn just sort of...gently pushes Duma back before he gets a chance to investigate on his own time, first things first, she knows how you are you little shit.]

Oh, dear... I believe I have some potions still. [She's staying back for now, but she does crouch lower, setting Latona down so she can shuffle through her bag.]

["Sickly" is probably the closer assessment; it isn't looking all that great, and it seems very wary of what people are doing around it, but it doesn't seem like it's going to bolt, at least. If anything it's looking sort of curious?]

[Well, small mercy, at that. But you know, all things considered, they have...had to explain what potions are, or have their Pokemon mess around and tell them about them. It makes Camilla think for a moment, before using her free hand to go through her bag.]

Are you hungry, by any chance?

Actually.. it seems less injured and more...

[ Effected some other way. She hums a little, and rummages in her bag for something. And after going at this for a moment she pulls out the (poison healing) Pecha Berry. To hold it out for the creature. ]

[...Oh, that's...

It will gladly sniff the hell out of that berry before putting it directly in its face; it isn't being particularly dignified about it, it seems pretty ravenous, honestly.]

Ahah! I thought that might be the case!

[ . . . Zelda you didn't explain anything in the context of Camilla's question anyone would just assume hunger as your theory. ]

[...wait, most of what she knows is the HP restoring berries--]

Zelda, what is it, dear?

It is only a theory for now, but the berry I offered, according to both my field guide and Gardenia's notes is a common all purpose antidote for forms of poisoning. Looking at their foliage, it seemed a worthwhile assumption to me...

Does anyone have antidotes right now, just in case?

[Kiryu has a few, but he didn't expect to encounter a poisoned Pokemon, so he didn't bring any]

I don't, but I do have more of those Pecha Berries, if it is a correct theory...

I've got some of those berries in my pack, and some antidotes as well...

[Camilla is just going through her pack to pick out a lot of her shit--she's entirely too prepared for situations, even if the berries tend to be just snacks mostly. She'll pull out an antidote at least.]

Here; if you need more, you need only ask. I'll simply restock in town.

I believe I may have some of the same berries myself. [Duma excitedly clambers over when Emmeryn takes her berry pouch from her bag like a dog expecting treats, and Emmeryn gives him a couple berries to keep him busy while she separates the Pechas. Not wanting to crowd Shaymin, she hands them off to Zelda, since she's already closer.] Very clever, Zelda.

Oh... thank you. We don't know if that's correct, just yet...

You think it was poisoned by a Pokemon in this area, or are Team Galactic responsible for this?

[They do have a knack for Poison types, from what he has seen -- Toxicroak and Skuntank were two commanders' main Pokemons]

It could be either or. I'm not sure why they would go out of their way to poison a darling unrelated to the gods...

[...Then again.]

Of course, Jupiter would probably do it for fun.

[well, whether it's poison or not, this thing seems really happy to be getting food? it's not doing much for the flowers, though, those are still looking a little, uh. less than happy.]

[Well, that much is good at least. Though yeah, Camilla's...definitely noticing the flowers here.]

...Hmm. Dear, hold still for moment, would you?

[She is gonna try to pull a potion out of her bag and see if that helps the flowers out any, at the very least. Hopefully Shaymin's distracted or at least amendable, but this is probably a decent route to try? Hopefully.]

[It isn't bothered by the potion - it kind of lets out a little squeak at first, but it isn't bolting and it doesn't seem inclined to either attack or flip out. It just kind of...stops what it's doing and watches for a moment.

That said, it isn't doing much for the flowers, unfortunately.]

Water.

[That Kiryu does have. Soon he has a bottle, trying to cup some in his hands, and crouches to offer ot to Shaymin.

It's kind of adorable, this big and kind of scary-looking man offering water to a small creature with flowers all over]
