Week 10.
WEEK 10 You've found a few new friends this past week, and along with them, a new town to explore. Granted, there doesn't seem to be much, particularly when compared to the cities you started out in; at the same time, the air is fresh with the scent of flowers and honey wafting on the breeze. Along with the usual Pokémon that can be found in populated areas, it seems that several Combees have made their home here - they can be found drifting along idly, seeming no more capable of true emotion than anyone or anything else, but perhaps they're trying their best. It's a little difficult to say; they are still bees, after all. That said, the world continues to change around you, bit by bit; you still have a long way to go before you've saved everyone, but for the time being you should probably recharge, and take some time to sort through what should happen next. Talking to the locals may net you the information that there's something odd about the meadow north of town; perhaps a few of you should go to check it out... POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week ten of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend.] |

[...
He laughs weakly, glancing off to the side.]
It was, uh...the first thing I was thinking about when I woke up and got out into the forest, so I started calling him that.
no subject
It's an original name.
[Not many would name their insect that, yup!]
no subject
What did you name yours?
[He asks, glancing down at the panda-like Pokemon with Kiryu.]
no subject
[So, names!]
Naming them is hard. I still need to come up with names for two Pokemon and I just can't think of anything yet.
no subject
[No you're just a hungry boy.]

Kiryu gets his Nidorino out of the Pokeball, and picks him up. Look at this rodent, Atsushi. It's a furry ball of toxins]
Okay, what food name would be good for this one?
no subject
He puts his hand against his chin and hums as he looks the Nidorino over for a long moment.
Food, food...]
You could call them Shoga...like pickled ginger? Or...Yokan, since they kinda make me think of sweet potato jelly.
[Neither of these things are...at all inherently toxic, but at least pickled ginger is strong as hell.]
no subject
Yeah...the color's kind of similar too. You like that name? Shoga?
[What's Shoga? Nidorino doesn't know. He doesn't have any idea what 'pickled' or 'ginger' means. They're food, apparently? That's all he understood.
...
You know what, Kiryu, why not? Shoga nods, pleased]
He likes it. Shoga it is.
no subject
I'm glad it works for you both! And I think it really fits him, too. Don't you, Chazuke?
[Said to the Wimpod still scurrying around, who briefly stops to look up at Atsushi, then Kiryu, before going back to scuttling.]
no subject
You had to fought any wild Pokemon yet?
no subject
[He looks down at his Wimpod.
WEEEELL...]
One time when we were going through town we ran into a flock of black birds...Murkrow? Anyway, they were all clustered around some food dropped on the ground. They were being pretty protective of it, though I don't think they were going to try to fight us either way.
[Still pretty...blank, all things considered.]
But when we got close enough and they took notice...Chazuke ran away before I could do anything.
no subject
[And everyone knows bugs don't mesh well with birds, yup]
He may feel better near a Pokemon that isn't a bird.
no subject
[He'd just assumed he was probably going to react like that to...pretty much anything. Which, really, he can't blame him all that much. He'd rather not have to fight things too in a perfect world.]
Have you guys been having to fight wild Pokemon a lot?
no subject
[Well, not exactly, but Kiryu so far has interpreted they approaching as fighting intent -- because he's always eager for a good battle]
no subject
So what you're saying is...
[Atsushi casts Chazuke a weak look despite knowing the Wimpod isn't paying him any attention right now.]
Chazuke is going to have to learn how to fight before we leave.
no subject
[Technically, nothing's stopping Atsushi from getting Chazuke back into his Pokeball and running away. Wild Pokemon sure aren't going to chase him!]
no subject
[He feels kinda like a slacker for not training the whole month he's been here, but...he never thought he'd need to.
Plus he...still isn't sure that Chazuke can really even DO anything.]
