Week 11.
WEEK 11 The meeting with Mars could have gone infinitely worse. It's difficult to say that it went well, admittedly, but at least it didn't go as poorly as it could have; either way, her departure leaves you free to look around the Valley Windworks, and it shouldn't take you long at all to find something interesting on the floor. It's bright yellow and glowing, set into the ground like any other normal part of the floor otherwise; stepping on it will cause the world to spin briefly in your field of vision, and when it straightens itself out again, you find yourself standing in the corner of the lobby of a large building you've never seen before. Welcome to the Jubilife TV station. The place seems staffed with Galactic grunts, but they leave you alone outside of just watching you in that dead-eyed, vaguely unnerving way they have of watching everything; they'll let you leave without a fuss at any rate, and it's probably for the best that you get yourself situated for the time being. After all, you've got an entire new city to get accustomed to. The people here seem to be trying to get themselves situated as well, though obviously that's for entirely different reasons. The world continues to change, around them and you both, and overall things do seem to be going in a direction that might be considered favorable. Noticeably, the grunts in the TV station don't seem to be changing at all, regardless of what happens to the other locals; that might be cause for some concern... POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week eleven of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!] |

The forbidden room definitely gets his attention, because if the grunts are guarding it, it is absolutely something they want to see.
When Michael catches his attention, he nods agreeable.]
Yeah. Looks that way.
[He did spend decades as a spy, even if he doesn't remember most of it. The training is second nature to him.
It's only when Michael actually whispers to him as they walk away that he nods, replying just as quietly.]
Whatever they're guarding, it's clearly important. If we could get hold of it, we'd probably be able to broadcast to most of the country.

[fuck health and wellness!]
I'm sure we can figure out how to broadcast something subversive, if we get in there.
no subject
Problem is, I don't know who among us should be the one doing the broadcasting. This is one of those things where we'll probably only get one chance.
I'd say alerting anyone like us to our presence might be worth the risk at this point-- Cyrus is bound to be pissed at this point, and I don't want to go looking for that ex-follower of his.
no subject
[He understands that people may not totally trust him in front of a camera, but honestly if they did work out an agreed-upon script, he's willing to stick to that.]
Between Flurrie and Atsushi, it seems very possible that there's more of us just scattered across the country, in hiding. I'm sure they'd appreciate any message we could get to them. And Cyrus clearly knows we're here anyhow - all of the Commanders have known, I'm sure they didn't keep it to themselves.
Do you think we'd be able to recognize that ex-follower, if we found him? Might just be dressed up like one of the regular peons again.
no subject
[Bucky's a mess, he sure as hell doesn't think he should be the one reading the script.
But he's smiling when he says it, even if it's a little awkward. At least he's capable of making fun of himself.]
But we do need to make sure any others out there know we exist. I guess assuming they have access to a television is taking a chance, but we shouldn't back down from the opportunity.
[At the question, he frowns.]
Honestly? I don't know.
[He shrugs, frowning.]
I guess if we meet some guy calling himself Mercury or Neptune, we'll know it's probably the fourth member of the team.
What kind of guy do you think he is, to be rejected by a bunch of cultists? Figure he either had the most sense out of all of 'em, or was somehow worse.
no subject
[Would he have anything useful? Who knows, still interesting]
We'll have to take out all the guards, to get in there. I'm assuming we don't really want to physically fight them.
no subject
[At the comment about fighting them physically, though, he raises his brows.]
I don't have a problem with that.
[But for some reason, people in the group are pretty opposed to using non-lethal violence, so...]
If people are going to be doing battling, they should probably start training now. If this is as important a location as it looks, they're not going to be up against push-overs.
no subject
[That had seemed like the moral sticking point to him - the Commanders are one thing, but attacking a bunch of poor schmucks like Maylene seems like it ought to be wrong somewhere. He doesn't have a citation for it, though, and his own instincts aren't always to be trusted in these things.]
I'm not really suggesting we take them on in a fair Pokemon battle. There's a wide range of options.
no subject
[That's said resolutely.]
I don't like doing it, but if I have to, then I have to. The grunts have one thing going for them, and that's that they likely don't have guns.
[He shrugs, a little, like he's trying to remind himself that violence as a defense mechanism isn't a thing most people have.]
Even if they're just doing their jobs-- or are just as brainwashed as I used to be, I'm not used to going up against people interested in capturing me alive. It won't be easy be easy with one arm, but I've always avoided fighting with my left hand as it is.
no subject
If you think that's best. I'm sure you don't have to fight all of them entirely by yourself.
no subject
It doesn't stop him from punching cops in the face, or throwing cinder blocks.]
I don't know, it's probably something the group should decide together.
no subject
[though that's something I want to OOCly clear first tbh]

[at the very least it can go down in history as "that bad idea everyone shoots down because it's terrible"]
