Week 13.

WEEK 13 The trip to Celestic Town is an unconventional one, though it's infinitely faster than walking and doesn't leave everyone feeling woozy in the same way that teleportation does. The town itself is a small one, though it's scenic, and there's a sort of beauty to it that's very rustic in nature; it's surrounded on both sides by mountainous routes that you're welcome to go on to both the west and the east, though it wouldn't be recommended that you venture too far out, seeing as they can be on the dangerous side for those who are unfamiliar with them. It seems Cynthia was right about one thing - there was certainly an incident at Lake Verity that went off almost as soon as you left, another of those deep pulses echoing through the surrounding area; it seems that whatever Mesprit did can be felt by the region as a whole, given that Celestic Town and the surrounding areas seem to have been affected as well despite being so far east of the lake. Cynthia herself can be found throughout the town for the duration, should anyone want to speak to her. Sometimes when left to her own devices, she can be seen in the company of a little girl who looks very similar to herself; sometimes she's with a pair of people much older. Either way, the family resemblance is strong. Lucas is here as well; he's still willing to speak to anyone that wants to, though he seems a bit subdued. Either way, it's been a long, harrowing trip so far; hopefully spending some time here will help to rejuvenate you. A coincidence. Actually genuinely, and it shows in what she asks. ]

[He glances over at the waterfall. Which he is not at all here for, but that...seems like a solid excuse.]

Sure.

I can see why. It is quite impressive.

[ That said, she's higher up, so she taps Bosphoramus to have him lay more flat to the ground so she can scoot over the shoulder and wave and, ]

Do you want to get up to see a higher one?

But Zelda was nice to him earlier when he was...not upset, because he wasn't upset then and he isn't upset now. But you know, earlier. So Michael sighs.]

Okay. [let's see how he can get up there]

[ She'll offer a hand to help him! ,... She doesn't look dignified as she gets on here but he's a little taller so come on, you can climb up Bosphoramus's boulder body. There's even numerous little scars in him for hand holds! But the Onix laughs a little, jolly like as usual. ]

[Michael's gaze flicks down to Bosphoramus in obvious irritation at the laughter...but it's a Pokemon. He's not going to dignify that with a response.

So, here he is. Sitting on the Onix.]

Yeah, we're...definitely higher up now.

[ To be honest, the laugh sounds like rocks grinding together? That said, if he's up here, Zelda will tap Bosphoramus's sides and say ] Rise up a little, show him the view!

[ And so... it starts to rise, lifting up its front half carefully, to give them a better view over its "shoulder." ]

[MMMM okay that's happening!

Michael's not afraid of heights, luckily, or he wouldn't have been up on the cliffs to begin with. He cranes his neck to look at the falls a little, since that seems to be what Zelda wants him to look at. Admittedly, getting up higher does seem to help with the fog thing a bit.]

It's very nice.

[ she nods, and she glances back at him, keeping her grip tight to Bosphoramus's boulders. ... She needs new boots. These replacements she got in Jubilife don't feel as good. Maybe she just needs to break them in more. Ah well, that's a lot of walking ago. But right now, seeing the falls. ]

Isn't it?

I am constantly pleased by the sights of this world. It serves as a good -- well, a nice balm for that I cannot see Hyrule's.

Huh. Only landscapes I've ever seen at home were fake.

Well then, how does a real one suit you?

[ Dude. ]

I can usually see in more dimensions than this. Think I mentioned that before, once or twice...I've lost entire spectrums of - not color, exactly, but that's the closest thing I can think of.

More... dimensions? Do you mean seeing alternate possibilities, or more space? I am not sure I understand, but even so... [ She glances back at him with a sheepish shrug. ] I'm sad the world isn't as beautiful to you as it ought to be.

...more like more space, I guess. But I don't know if it would be better. There's a sort of sensory component to other people's feelings, for me - it's not colors, but it's like that?

Wouldn't be getting a lot of that here. Although I'm glad I can't sense the tension all the time. So messy.

The tension, huh? [ She smiles a little, ] Between people, do you mean?

Oh, yes. It's sort of...

[He makes vague motions with his fingers for a few seconds.]

I don't know.

Like the feelings you felt, when we all faced Mesprit?

[ ZELDA THAt'S PERHAPS A LITTLE TOO FORWARD WHEN YOU'VE TRACKED THE GUY ON AN ONIX ON A MOUNTAIN. ]

[Michael raises his eyebrows and blinks a few times - you know, in that manner of surprised affront.]

I beg your pardon?

Our confrontation with Mesprit was hard on you.

[ She says... matter of factly. Michael hadn't done much, but he did try to help her when she was upset after Uxie. This is... sort of the reverse? Sort of? ]
