Week 14.

WEEK 14 Sunday is a rough day all around; it's for the best that you remain where you are for the day, for the sake of regrouping and recovering, and perhaps getting some sleep - assuming that any will come. However, as difficult though it may be (and as futile though it may seem) Monday is likely best seen as a day to depart - a day to start to take whatever actions can still be taken, and to assess where to go from here. A good place to start is Canalave City; it's where you were going to meet with Cynthia, and where you were planning on looking into the legends of Sinnoh. The city itself is beautiful, a massive port town split down the center by a large canal system filled with boats and clear water leading out to sea; however, the recent changes to the world have affected this place as well, perhaps making it a bit difficult to enjoy the city in its entirety. However, the library is here, as are several other points of interest; as difficult though it may be to see the world like this, the trip here will hopefully be worth your while in the end... [Unlike Jake, Sena still has his whole team out - he almost never returns them despite all the chaos they cause - and they're being appropriately ridiculous as he lines up their bowls to feed them. Vee's biting on Monta's tail (again? what did he say this time-?), Portus steals the bowl and teleports out of sight before Sena can finish setting it out, Nin is actually not flying and eating her food at the same time for once, and Shell is just resting on his head since it doesn't eat.

All in all, it's a normal noisy evening for this crew, maybe noisier than usual thanks to how...still...everything is. If Monta's protesting is a little louder than usual, if Nin is a little more restless...Sena can't really begrudge them that right now.

The thing is, Portus teleported near where Jake is hanging out, so when Sena inevitably comes to corral his wayward psychic he can't help but talk to the man.]

Jake...? [Sena hesitates. Something seems kinda...not off, exactly, but not Completely Fine either.] Er...sorry, did I interrupt something...?

[He doesn't seem bothered at the interruption, at least, hey Portus - ...also, hey kid, he isn't altogether sure what to do with that question for a moment, but.]

You're not bothering me or anything, it's fine. It's good to see 'em being so active.

Ah...yeah...I just kinda never realized how noisy they could get until everything else got all...

[Quiet.

He can't bring himself to finish that sentence.]

I...I think I understand. My Pokemon...some of them, they don't understand why the world's like this. I'm not sure what'll happen when it sinks in.

[Some of them, like Vee, are just too fucking stupid to ever get it. Thankfully.]

[God bless the dumbasses. He's pretty sure Kandža and Cvetka are exactly that sort of stupid, so at least there's that.]

Being in their Pokeballs didn't save the Pokemon in this world the first time it ever happened, right?

[They would have seen more alert Pokemon around town if that were the case...right?]

[Sena frowns. Something about that statement sits wrong with him, but for the life of him he can't figure out why.]

...I'd rather not give the chance for it to happen, rather than think about whether I'd have to deal with it or not...

...honestly he can't really imagine how that would work, but the mental image of a chibi Cyrus getting randomly zapped by thunderbolts and reduced to a pile of ashes is...um.
