Week 1.
WEEK 1. As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning. Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokémon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim. It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being. However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes... Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good. POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week one of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend! Feel free to investigate the city as you see fit this week; we ask only that you try to stagger investigations and be mindful of what's already been checked. If you wish to investigate, notify the mods in your comment subject for your top-level and we'll get on it as soon as possible!] |

Sounds like it'd be a real pain, having to deal with monsters that were once people. Hate to have to ask, but what's an American?
no subject
They're people. Usually if they're just being called Americans they're from the United States, 'cause they're all arrogant like that. Good old U.S. of A. - the only country that matters on the entire godforsaken continent.
I'm from Edonia. An entire ocean away from 'em. Not like it stops them from showing up and fucking around with things that don't involve them.
no subject
[i guess that's a comparison you could make???]
They always show up whenever you don't want them around and they feel the need to stick their noses into everyone's business when they could be helping their own people. A bunch of 'em chased me across the ocean.
[...because they thought he kidnapped a princess, but listen. It was still annoying.]

[guys...]
One of the last jobs I had was taking care of a bunch of them that showed up. Said they were from an antiterrorist organization. Maybe they were, maybe they weren't, point is that a bunch of military guys showed up and started mowing people down, calling 'em J'avo like I said. I mean, I get their point, but if a bunch of people were running around calling your guys the devil and not even doing you the courtesy of saying it right? You'd be pretty pissed too.
no subject
[you named your dog "rock", shut up]
Sounds like a pain, though. So how'd the job go?
no subject
[Anyway.]
The job was going great until the group I was with all went and got themselves infected. Kinda went downhill from there.

[y i k e s]
Were they friends of yours or just guys you were working with?
no subject
[He doesn't really do friends.]
no subject
[too bad you're gonna make friends here, huh jake]
no subject
sherry was bad enough he doesn't need more- ]
Yeah, actually.
[...A fully-dressed mercenary, has been for a while, he probably should say something but who cares.]
no subject
There's a whole guild full of mercenaries where I'm from. We had some trouble with them for a little while since we kept getting in their boss's way.
[And thanks, asshole?? He'll finally glance over after a moment as if to make sure you aren't still changing. Alright, well. Let's just not mention that, it's fine.]
no subject
[He shrugs.]
I don't really have a boss or anything. I'm more freelance.

Sounds great. Congratulations on the dystopia.

It's kind of a mess, but it's home.
no subject
[But, eh.]
I don't really have anyplace I consider home right now - sorta like it that way, actually.
no subject
Yeah, I kinda get it. I'm originally from the Empire, and the Lower Quarter's still home in a way, but it's been a long time since I've been back there.
[...well, okay, he was back there to save Estelle, but like. It wasn't exactly a fun trip.]
I've been traveling for awhile, getting to see more of Terca Lumireis and getting roped into all sorts of crazy things. I ended up joining a guild, so going back to the Empire's sort of out of the question.

Vesperia, huh. That's something to do with...what, night? Stars?
no subject
...Where I'm from, at least. Kinda weird to think even the night sky could be different, though.
[Something he's definitely going to have to check out tonight...]
no subject
[...Same.]
