Week 11.
WEEK 11 The meeting with Mars could have gone infinitely worse. It's difficult to say that it went well, admittedly, but at least it didn't go as poorly as it could have; either way, her departure leaves you free to look around the Valley Windworks, and it shouldn't take you long at all to find something interesting on the floor. It's bright yellow and glowing, set into the ground like any other normal part of the floor otherwise; stepping on it will cause the world to spin briefly in your field of vision, and when it straightens itself out again, you find yourself standing in the corner of the lobby of a large building you've never seen before. Welcome to the Jubilife TV station. The place seems staffed with Galactic grunts, but they leave you alone outside of just watching you in that dead-eyed, vaguely unnerving way they have of watching everything; they'll let you leave without a fuss at any rate, and it's probably for the best that you get yourself situated for the time being. After all, you've got an entire new city to get accustomed to. The people here seem to be trying to get themselves situated as well, though obviously that's for entirely different reasons. The world continues to change, around them and you both, and overall things do seem to be going in a direction that might be considered favorable. Noticeably, the grunts in the TV station don't seem to be changing at all, regardless of what happens to the other locals; that might be cause for some concern... POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week eleven of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!] |

His trainer though...he actually doesn't explore the town as much as he wants to today, too distracted by his thoughts about everything that went on with Mars. Unable to shake feeling ashamed of her accusing him of trusting this new group blindly, or trying to talk on things he didn't understand. Despite how peaceful this place had been, he truly never asked to be here in the first place, as had much of the rest he's certain...so it's something that sticks in his craw a bit, bothering him.
He's able to find some distraction from it at the Trainer's School where he ends up spending most of his day, grabbing some of the books to take outside and sit with on the steps to read. Despite these books being clearly written for youngsters, it has a lot of information in it that Atsushi is still spotty on. Battling, type advantages...it's all stuff he pays close attention to and tries to remember. You might also spot him at the PokeMart briefly to buy a pad of paper and a pen to use to write some notes from his studies for himself. He's glad he spent some time working in the flower shop to save up a little spending money, turns out he needed it eventually. Above all he comes to two conclusions: if he wants to be competent as a trainer and able to both protect himself and strengthen the group when the time eventually comes, he's going to need to train with Chazuke and eventually catch another Pokemon.
Who or what that will be might have to come later, though...]

So what's the Rock-type weak against? No cheating.
[He'll at least come over so we can have a proper conversation, but this is... apparently a thing he's doing.]

[Atsushi fumbles the book before holding it down against his legs so he isn't tempted to look, biting his bottom lip as he tries to think because his first instinct is to actually try to see if he can guess it right.
He could have sworn he just looked but now he's at a loss...so he tries to deduce the answer.]
Wwwaater?
[He's pretty sure there's more but it's escaping him right now.]
no subject
[Hmm... You know what, he'll just move to park it on the steps with you without asking. Now we're officially blocking anyone from entering or exiting the school, but it's fine, probably.]

[He squeaks as Yuri sits down with him. Now he feels like he's taking a test or something...]
Shouldn't rock be strong against most everything?

...hm.]
Learn anything interesting?
[Her Golett is trailing behind her, and seems similarly upset at the fact that they're not in Floarama any more - if the fact that its still clutching the flower crown Rey made it is any indication.]
no subject
Oh, well- since I'm guessing Chazuke here is probably a bug type if nothing else, I know now that he's going to be weak to fire, flying, and rock. It explains why he was so afraid of those birds in Floaroma, at least.

[Golett returns the wave with its free hand, before approaching Atsushi and peering over his shoulder at the book. Rey, on the other hand, exclaims-]
Golett, you should ask before you do that! Sorry, it's been getting rather brave lately. I probably shouldn't complain, though, considering the circumstances.
[Moving forward, Rey places a hand on Golett's shoulder and gently moves it away.]
It's good that you're studying up on types, though. Some Pokemon can be deceptive. Would you believe Golett is a Ghost-type?
no subject
[He's glad to see that the Pokemon is curious...it's an encouraging sign compared to what Atsushi was seeing when he first got here.]
Ghost-type though, really...? I would have guessed Rock, honestly.
PokeMart;
Buying some stuff for the road too?
no subject
Actually, I'm just getting something to write with and on today...but I'm going to be getting some stuff before we actually have to start traveling through forests. I just...don't really know what I'll need, yet.
[Pokeballs, potions, an actual bag...a lot more than he has now, which is nothing.]

[ Ventus remembered needing to stock up on things when they ran out of things at the beginning of their travels. ]
I don't think I ever thought about grabbing something like a pen and all that, though. Are you going to be taking notes on Pokemom?

Good afternoon, Atsushi. [Said without looking up from the potions he was restocking, because...i mean, yeah.] I hope that whole incident wasn't too trying for you--I'm afraid that's how these matters tend to go with us.
no subject
Ah- afternoon.
[He shifts the notepad he'd been holding in his hands, a picture of a pikachu on the cover.]
It...was kindof a lot, if I'm honest. But I'm not sure what more I was expecting out of someone who is 100% convinced the world is better this way than not.

[He turned to Atsushi with a small smile, adjusting his glasses to hide the scars behind them. Tended to put forth a poor impression, he found.]
Are you adjusting well enough? I'm sorry you seem to have come across us at a bit of a hectic time.

Oh, hey. [He glances over what's happening.] Do you have any idea what type that thing of yours is, just bug?
no subject
I'm guessing he's just bug? Though, I didn't even know Pokemon could have more than one type until I started reading this.
no subject
[He indicates one of the books that he's already quick-flipped through.]
We found some of this information before, in the books they were selling in a department store, but I have to say that this might have been a better introduction. Could've saved us a little trial-and-error, maybe.
